11.01.2022 Our beaches look really clean in Apollo Bay, but up close, how many small plastic particles are there that the fish are eating, and the seals are swallowing?! Please help our kids quest to raise funds to place Seabins in the Apollo Bay Harbour. Not only will the bins help to collect this small floating debris, but by emptying these bins daily will give a good idea of the health of our ocean, what is getting swept in on the changing tides, and what we can do further to protect... it and the creatures living in it. The bins will also highlight the importance of keeping rubbish OUT OF THE SAND DUNES and off the beach. Did you know that by mid-century it is estimated the amount of plastic in the world’s oceans will outweigh all the fish?
