24.01.2022 *NEW IN STOCK* If you love flavour you should be buying your spices at the food coop! Our organic spices are fresh, aromatic, and top-quality. We've just added ...chilli flakes and sweet paprika to our range, which includes everything from black pepper, cumin, and curry powder to cardamom, star anise, and sumac. They really are spectacularly good. The food coop is open every Tuesday afternoon at the Apollo Bay youth club from 3 til 5. We have a huge range of organic bulk foods and pantry items including flour, rice, tea, coffee, oats, olive oil, nuts, dried fruit, chocolates, dishwashing liquid, and lots more. The coop is entirely volunteer-run for the community. Our aims are to reduce packaging waste in Apollo Bay and improve access to quality, affordable organic food. Coop members receive 10% off their purchases, and ALL are welcome to drop in and do some shopping. See you there :)

22.01.2022 **COOP UPDATE** The food coop will be open as usual on Tuesday from 3pm til 5pm at the Apollo Bay youth club. We have brown rice back in stock, and have topped ...up our wide range of organic bulk foods. Please note we are still out-of-stock on white wheat flour, but have a number of other options available (spelt, rye, wholemeal, gluten-free). We are no longer allowing self-serve so expect around a one hour wait to have your order filled. Its best if you can drop your order off between 3 and 4pm, then come back before 5pm to pick up. Please ensure your reusable containers have been thoroughly cleaned. You can also use the paper bags provided at the coop for your order. If you do attend the coop please observe social distancing between yourself and others (minimum 2m), use hand sanitiser provided, and bring a card not cash. Other ways to help (if you can) are to nominate one person from your household to shop, rather than coming in together, and to leave kids at home or outside if they are old enough. Labelling your containers and making your list before you come in also helps keep everyone moving efficiently through the space. Please do offer to shop for a neighbour or anyone who needs a hand! Thank you for your patience and kindness as we adjust to a very different way of doing things.

18.01.2022 It’s nearly tomato planting time! Hundreds of tomato plants are going out into the Apollo Bay community over the next two weeks, and I’d like to remind my lovel...y customers to save and return the 10cm pots the tommies are grown in. I hate buying these new: they’re expensive, and it’s a massive waste of plastic since they easily have a useful lifespan of 5-10 years if stored out of the sun. If everyone could please give them a rinse, and store them somewhere dark and dry until you get a chance to return them, I will keep using these pots for many years to come. Thanks legends!
