25.01.2022 When the suspension sleeve goes over the foam cover it creates a visible ridge (which can be seen on the prosthesis with the black shoe). This can be overcome with a shorter trimline on the foam cover to create a much smoother transition between foam cover and suspension sleeve, with an improved seal.

24.01.2022 It took a few weeks for Matt to get used to the new system. Liking the fact that he can wear his prosthesis without a suspension sleeve, especially in the tropical heat of Northern Queensland. This is his second socket with closing panels - no more liners and suspension sleeves!

23.01.2022 Matt wanted to stay with a PTS-design using stump socks for the Townsville heat and humidity, but without suspension sleeve. We had very little grip above the femoral condyles and had to combine a couple of closing panels to limit pistoning. He will trial this for a few days - hoping for a good outcome, to be continued...

The electronics are accessible by removing the forearm shell on the ulna aspect of the prosthesis. The transition from a mechanical knee to a micro-processor controlled knee is a huge improvement for the patient, especially in early stance phase where less forces get transferred to the abutment resulting in a more natural confident gait.

07.01.2022 Short AK-stumps can be challenging fittings. This slip-socket concept has worked very well in the past, and this is my newest attempt to improve on the previous versions. The pelite inner socket can only move up and down inside the hard socket and the elastic tension can be adjusted.

01.01.2022 Instead of the usual posterior opening system found in our adjustable sockets we went with a medial/lateral expanding socket to relief fibula head pressure issues caused by a very bowed leg stump alignment. This should also help with stump volume fluctuations.
