25.01.2022 Our winners of Best Costume for the 9pm tour last night. Blew my mind!!!

24.01.2022 Last nights Berrima Courthouse Interactive tour was interesting. It started with noises from the Judges cloakroom as we were doing the tour. Jax did a burst evp session where everyone introduced themselves one by one and asked a question - to find it didnt actually record (VERY unlike Jax to miss that!) We tried to use a few pieces of our equipment, to find most of them had battery problems - even though they were all changed and check prior to guests arriving. ... Jax had the heebie geebies, which is always a sign there was something about, and Jonno was very uncomfortable in the courtroom for most of the night. Guests also participated in Ganzfeld (Covid style) in the two holding cells, then the portal in the Jury room and table tipping in the womans cell and main courtroom- with some interesting results. Peets voice saying Jax on the portal when Jax turned it on, and the table in the courtroom was moving just enough to get peoples attention. Lots of unexplained banging throughout the night and the occasional music from the musicbox. We heard what we thought was a rempod going off in the womans cell, but the battery had failed earlier so it was taken out of there. We also heard an old style ring tone, ringing somewhere near the gift shop. An amazing group of guests and another fantastic night. Ps, The guys reminded me ...... There was a noise towards our room (where we greet guests on arrival) so a couple of the crew went to have a look. We had just left said room and walled into the Judges Chamber. The keys in the door, on the inside, were jangling back and forth. They thought someone had tried to get in, but on unlocking the door and going out there was no one there. At Berrima, you would see someone walking away if they had tried the door!!!

12.01.2022 Hi all, Suze here. I am going to start doing some posts about some experiences from our amazing locations - by both APPI AND our awesome guests. If you have had an experience at any of our locations, please feel free to share them with us all Ticket sales for our next Berrima Courthouse night has gone up today. This place is certainly one of our favorites, and we are there once a month so many stories.... I think the two holding cells are my favourite spots at Berrima. Without fail, something happens to at least one of guests in there. Last month we did our Covid version of the Ganzfeld Experiment, where one guests at a time has a ghost box going in the pitch dark. Our remaining guests are watching the monitor, showing the infrared camera set up on them, in the main courtroom. We asked if someone would touch the person in the chair or make a banging noise. Guests felt cold spots on their cheeks, or faint pulling of their hair, or a breeze go past them. There was a male in the male holding cell and it looked like he had shorts on. As it was freezing (& we hadnt noticed) we asked his companion and she said no, he had long pants on. As she said that, the man started scratching his leg (& there is NO way he could hear us!) He said he felt something play with his pants! A guest in the female cell watched as two of our flashing cat balls (they flash on a sensor) started to roll towards the door, flashing their little hearts out. They had been stationery all night until that moment and all of us in the courtroom saw them appear just under the door! We have had a number of doppelgnger experiences as well here - usually Peets voice, as she is the boss. The kitchen area (which is presumed to be a dressing room or private area for the magistrate) is a place to check out if you ever come, some strange stuff seems to happen when someone is in there! Its like something doesnt like us being in their private area. That is usually when peoples names are called! You can hear many more stories on our tours of course, but I will be posting some highlights from each night as they happen.... so stay tuned

09.01.2022 Strange deaths... Ritchie Valens - 1941-1959 The rock and roll pioneer and forefather of the Chicano rock movement wasn't afraid of anything - except aeroplanes. Eight months into his career, the budding singer died in a plane that crashed just a few minutes after take off.

08.01.2022 This is the DEATH MASK of a young woman who drowned in the River Seine in the 1880s. As was customary in those days, her corpse was put on display in the Paris mortuary, in the hope that someone might recognize her and claim her body. The pathologist on duty became entranced by the girl with the enigmatic half-smile, and so he commissioned a plaster cast made of her face. This mask was replicated many times over. She became known as "LInconnue de la Seine, or The Unknown ...Woman of the Seine. In 1955, a toy maker named Asmund Laerdal created what we now know as the CPR doll. Asmund wanted his mannequin to have a natural appearance. Remembering a mask on the wall of his grandparents house many years earlier, he decided that the LInconnue de la Seine would become the face of Resusci Anne. So you see, this anonymous woman who drowned in the 19th century is responsible for saving many, many lives the world over. It is said that she has the most kissed face of all time. I hope you enjoyed this little #histmed tale! Credit: The Chirurgeons Apprentice

08.01.2022 The Exorcism of Kennedy Ife In August 2016 in North London, 26-year-old Kennedy Ife began acting strange and aggressive following a pain in his throat. He reportedly bit his father, threatened to cut off his own penis, and complained of a python or snake inside of him before his family restrained him to a bed with cable ties and excessive force. As the BBC reported:... The family then set about attempting to ‘cure’ Kennedy through restraint and prayer over the next three days, the court was told. His brother, Colin Ife, told police: It’s clear that thing was in him, what we believed was a demon because it was not natural. It was clearly trying to kill him, he said. We had to restrain him for himself. It was clear if we didn’t restrain him, he could have tried to harm people in our family. Kennedy Ife had been bound to his bed for three days without medical attention when his brother called emergency services, explaining that Kennedy Ife was complaining of dehydration. He appeared to have developed breathing issues, and was pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m. As The Independent reported: While police were at the house Colin Ife allegedly carried out an attempted resurrection by chanting and praying for Mr. Ife. All seven of Kennedy Ife’s family members were accused of manslaughter, false imprisonment, and causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. A post-mortem examination revealed over 60 wounds including a possible bite on Kennedy Ife’s body, and his father, Kenneth Ife, along with four of his brothers, sustained injuries as well. The BBC reported: Kenneth Ife told jurors he ordered his sons to take shifts and use "overwhelming force" but denied that an "association with cults, occults and secret societies" played any part in the death. After a four day jury deliberation, all seven family members were cleared of charges on March 14, 2019. PIC: the house the exorcism was conducted in.

05.01.2022 Morning all Suze here again. What an amazing night we had last night! We started with a Scouts group with a tour and there were so many bangs in response to the kids asking questions. They were very brave and were rewarded with a lolly treasure hunt in 6 wing. ... We then had a private booking, a nice small group of 10, and we did an interactive ghost tour where they sampled equipment, table tipping, a muster and some evp sessions. Not a huge amount of stuff happened but enough to leave us with some questions! Great group who really got into it. BUT some OTHER strange stuff happened to the team behind the scenes! Lynda was upstairs in 5 wing and was making some bangs to get the kids excited, only to find she wasnt the only one doing the banging! The shock on her face when she realised no other ‘person’ was up there with her! And two of the team saw what can be described as figures. One blocked a lit doorway and disappeared, the other was a misty-like apparition. While discussing the first with the vollie, her & I heard distinct boot steps on the stairs behind us. The best part of the night is not one, but two very strange photos we took. Clearly figures of something in both and we could not recreate them after guests left. Last week we tried to recreate another photo that a vollie shared, where you can see a figure so clearly. Jonno took some pics of the same spot in 1 wing, and we didnt see much in them at the time - but looking back on them, we captured something in one that makes the hairs on your arms raise! These photos are going to be added to our tours now. Guess you will all have to come to a tour to check them out What a great Friday 13th
