25.01.2022 Appin Hall respite centre is under threat from a proposed NBN 60m tower to be placed just 20m from the boundary. We think that this is unacceptable for health compromised children and not in the spirit or desire of what we are trying to achieve. There are alternative sites in crown land and forest area in the vicinity that would be preferable. Could you please sign our petition online by clicking the link below? Could you encourage similarly minded friends to do similar? ... We are fighting this every which way we can in order to protect what has been achieved to date, and to ensure that we can continue to uphold the future goals of providing respite to as many children Australia wide as possible. Please double click the link which will enable you to sign the petition electronically. https://www.change.org/p/nbn-co-ltd-stop-nbn-erecting-a-60m

The Awards recognise innovations that have had an impact on Tasmania in any sector of life from past to present day. 11.01.2022 Appin Hall Children’s Foundation would be grateful if you would sign our petition in order to stop NBNCo installing a 60metre high telecommunications (wifi) tower just 20m from our northern border on an adjoining property. We do not object to people wanting wi-fi technology, we just don’t want it near children who are already compromised by ill health and trauma. This petition is designed to stop this tower being erected within this particular location. For our supporters on the north west coast of Tasmania - we can email you a copy of our petition if you were able to assist us in having people sign it - can you help? If so, please let us know via a facebook PM message. Many thanks, Ronnie and Maggie.
10.01.2022 What a brilliant concert last night, with wonderful local entertainment and of course our headline acts of Ben Price, David De Vito and Normie Rowe. Thank you to our entertainers, sponsors and our guests.
08.01.2022 The Appin Hall newsletter was published on Tuesday of this week, including the announcement that Appin Hall is to close down in Tasmania, and relocate to the Victorian high country. Plans include offering young people specialised camps comprising camping, fishing, kayaking, snow skiing, bushwalking and nature study. The aim is to still host Tasmanian families and hold youth camps in Victoria. Maggie and Ronnie are actively seeking a large property (around 700 acres) to rel...ocate to. Whilst we acknowledge that the decision of the Appin Hall Board will come as a shock to many, the aims, ideals, values and vision remain unchanged. There has been an announcement made in local media today (unplanned) ahead of a media release later today. If you have not received the newsletter but would like a copy (to read the full article), please provide me with your email address and Appin Hall will forward you a copy. Thanking you. See more
05.01.2022 Our local Council will be considering the application to install the tower at this week's Council meeting 20 m from our boundary, and we would love to present them with as many 'signatures' as possible. We don't want to inundate your facebook page continually, so this second appeal will also be our last one. Thankyou to those who have signed - and for the rest, we would be most appreciative if you could double click the link below and electronically sign our petition, and perhaps consider sharing it onto your own facebook page - it is quick and easy. Many thanks. Ronnie and Maggie. https://www.change.org/p/nbn-co-ltd-stop-nbn-erecting-a-60m
