24.01.2022 A BIG welcome to Appleberries, Braxton! You settled very well into play this morning with some ball play outside with Miss Cody. After a play outdoors you settled inside for some morning tea. You first picked up some watermelon and also liked trying some custard. ... You comfortably moved around your new environment with ease approaching your new friends. You also settled well for a sleep this morning. We cant wait to see you again tomorrow Braxton for another fun day!

21.01.2022 The kindergarten class were very enthusiastic about making play dough. First we carefully followed the recipe to make a double batch of play dough. Following recipes develops both early literacy and numeracy skills. We explored the processes of measuring, adding, pouring and sprinkling. The children decided to make the dough white so that it looked like snow. They chose a bubblegum essence to add as they thought that the smell was like Christmas.

04.01.2022 Today the Junior Kindy children participated in Christmas tree painting. Using a natural resource that Miss Aileen had collected from out in the playground, the children used their creative art skills to place a piece of a palm tree into white paint and splat it onto a black piece of paper. The children showed excitement and awe as they raised the palms off their paper to reveal their creations. Miss Aileen asked the children, ‘Who would like glitter on their tree?’ All the children responded with ‘me!’. What amazing creations everyone.

02.01.2022 By setting up a program outside we are encouraging children to challenge all aspects of their development such as social/emotional, fine motor and their physicality where children can learn at their own pace, which brings children together in a happy, safe and social environment. Children also have the opportunity to play creatively and imaginatively and engage in a variety of games with themselves and educators such as ball play and musical instruments.
