24.01.2022 Today we had the privilege of meeting Brett, he has come to Orange to collect this caravan. Brett is from Batemans Bay and his home was burnt out in the recent fires. We checked over the wiring & made sure everything was good for the trip back. Brett told us that he had been living out of a swag since he lost his place. He also said that there are still lots of people without anywhere to live. The caravan had been donated to Crisis Care in Batemans Bay. It was his if he could pick it up. Brett told us he has been overwhelmed by the generosity of people. It’s easy to forget about the people left in limbo suffering the backlash of these devastating fires. Every bit of kindness is deeply appreciated.
