25.01.2022 We taught ourselves to play Gin Rummy today.

24.01.2022 December | Day 2 Shortbread. They never end up looking like the pictures from the recipe but they taste just right.

23.01.2022 Growing up I think I took creativity for granted and then when I finished school and went out into the working world, I forgot about being creative. Later, after my dad died, I picked up a camera and I found myself feeling all those creative inklings start to bloom again. This year, photography has taken a back seat and I have missed my camera. It was wonderful to pick it up again and It’s a good reminder to keep doing what I love for my own mental health. So basically what I’m really trying to say is that I was really excited to see this beautiful family again and meet their newest member. Thanks for having me in your home, it was a delight.

23.01.2022 December| day 1 Who doesn’t love Christmas tree day?

22.01.2022 I’m probably breaking some Instagram rule about posting more than once a day but I don’t care. We had fun today!

21.01.2022 I look at this photo and all I can see are my flaws. I see my double chin, chubby arms and love handles but I’m posting it anyway. I want to see myself though the boys’ eyes and they don’t judge me for my weight, my hair or my skin. They love my smiles, hugs and gentle words and I’m learning to love those too. I’m so grateful to them all trekking into paddocks full of poo and prickles to make me happy.

18.01.2022 December | Day 4 Hung around at home with this pudding. It’s my last few weeks at home with just us and I’m trying my best to be present and enjoy all the things.

18.01.2022 Those colours. Dreamy.

16.01.2022 December | Day 5 This is my little brother, Woody. He’s been a little aimless and has worked a variety of jobs since he finished school several years ago but recently he’s been doing work experience in a local cafe and he loves it. I went to visit him to today to watch him make a coffee, and while we didn’t get to see him in action, it was great to see him happy (which you really can’t tell from this photo hahaha).

16.01.2022 Those arm rolls get my every time.

16.01.2022 December | Day 3 Of course the best way to test out your Christmas concert costume is to BeyBlade in the washing basket....

13.01.2022 Trust is such a huge thing for photographers. Families invite us in to their inner space, to see their connections, to capture life for a moment and I am so grateful to have been trusted by these wonderful people. Theirs was a day of wholehearted love. @three.little.sweets @curlly88au

12.01.2022 We’re going on a bear hunt...

09.01.2022 There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in, Leonard Cohen. I was sitting on a low (makes your breath whoosh when you go to sit down and realize your butt is almost on the floor low), dusty leather couch waiting for my car while I was contemplating names for the 37 week old baby attempting to dislocate my ribs. In that way that so often happens and your mind wanders in a seemingly random way, I was also thinking about my dad, who would never meet this baby... and wondered what he’d think about our unexpected addition. I miss my dad so much and so often, sometimes the pain is physical so I was feeling a bit shit about the whole not meeting his grandchild thing when in this moment, unexpectedly, this quote came to mind. The hope in this never fails to inspire me in so many different ways and so in that moment, a decision was made. See more

04.01.2022 December | Day 6 Happy half birthday to this peanut! Photo shoot directed by his older brother Nicolas. I kind of love that they’re getting creative and not demanding cash for photos anymore.

03.01.2022 When you can’t choose just one to share...

02.01.2022 Im very grateful to call this wonderful woman a friend. She is kind, thoughtful and so strong. I have no doubt that she is going to be a spectacular mother to this lucky little one when he or she arrives (my money’s on a girl!).

02.01.2022 I had grand plans of starting a ‘project’ this year but I haven’t. I think I’m going to stick to trying to finding a work/ life balance and focusing on images that make my soul sing. 7 months with guy and my home time with him is coming to end waaaaay too fast.
