25.01.2022 Been awhile in between posts but it’s been a bit hectic here in Ariah Park. My quince paste is just about right. Takes a lot of patience and slow low heat to get it just right. Thank you to Kilmuir Farm for the gorgeous quinces xx

21.01.2022 It’s been a few weeks between product development. Lots going on with family and the pub undergoing renovations. Made a batch of melenzana ala olio or eggplant preserved in olive oil. I have used eggplant from the Ariah Park Public School garden with my semi dried tomatoes from Yenda, APH garden herbs and imported olive oil and vinegar. Any suggestions for locally produced extra virgin olive oil and vinegar would really be appreciated. Can’t wait to sample these delicious treats after they have been hibernating for at least a week. Yummy! Stay tuned, we will be baking bread soon to go with all of these delicious morsels.

21.01.2022 It’s been a busy few weeks at the pub but I’m still forging forward with AP Providores. Added to the test product list - Pear Chutney Chinese Five Spice Plum Sauce The logo, paper bags and stickers have arrived too!! Very exciting. What started this project that I have been procrastinating about for ages? I have been selected to participate in The Seed Scheme provided by The Rural Woman with 9 other rural women in the Temora area. It is very exciting. I’ll keep you posted.

21.01.2022 So happy with my winning entries and being awarded overall champion in the preserves section at the Ariah Park Annual Show on Sunday. Very proud that my preserves went so well. 1st and champion for Semidried tomatoes with lemon mertyl 1st for collection of preserved fruit - my dehydrated fruit 2nd for my plum dessert sauce 2nd for my Chinese five spice plum sauce... 1st for Mrs Gobbles eggs!! 16.01.2022 This morning was spent in the garden tidying up as the rocket has gone wild. Beautiful peppery wild rocket will make some amazing rocket pesto this afternoon I think!!

16.01.2022 It’s been a bit quiet on the APP front lately as it’s been busy I the APH kitchen but back on track today with plans for the months ahead. We have a display in the foyer at the pub and will have other outlets in the area very soon. Stay tuned!! I have started dehydrating again with a batch of gorgeous fruit which will be in snack packs. Pure fruit just dehydrated with nothing else. My Grandmothers Mandarin Jam on the stove tomorrow

14.01.2022 Mmmm Roma tomato passata is on the stove with loads of APH fresh herbs. Might make some fresh pasta this afternoon to go with the delicious result!

10.01.2022 Busy afternoon in the kitchen making Mandarine Glaze which is great as a jam, on duck, lamb and fish. It livens up a cheese platter too. Pear, onion and chilli chutney Spiced beetroot It smells amazing in here

First items will be for sale later this month at the RV Muster Markets in Temora on Sunday 28th. All will be available to sample. 04.01.2022 I finally found five minutes to set up a stand to sell produce out the front of the pub at the Mary Gilmore Festival Markets. Great sales for an hour then had to quickly pack down at midday as the kitchen was quickly hammered by hungry participants and had no one to man the stand!!!

03.01.2022 How beautiful is our dried fruit salad? All dried at low temperature with no sugar, preservatives or additives. Strawberries, bananas, pineapple, mango, yellow & green kiwi, pears, apple and Aussie sultanas. Will be available soon in small snack packs or bulk packs. Fantastic for healthy school snacks.
