12.01.2022 From midday today, the ACT will ban non-residents coming from Greater Sydney and its surrounds from entering the territory without an exemption. The changes str...engthen border rules requiring anyone entering the ACT from Greater Sydney, Wollongong, the Blue Mountains or Central Coast to quarantine for 14 days on arrival. In recent days we have continued to see around 80 non-ACT residents from COVID-19 affected areas of NSW travel to the ACT daily, Chief Health Officer Kerryn Coleman said. As a result we now have around 2,000 people in quarantine in the ACT, 25 per cent of which are non-ACT residents."
