25.01.2022 Aqua Energy Closure Due to the State Governments announcement of Stage 3 Restrictions, Aqua Energy will be closed from 8pm this Wednesday, 5 August until further notice. Until this time we will be business as usual with our pools, gym, Group Fitness and Swimming Lessons still operating. A reminder that you must have a face covering on when attending the facility.... If you have a Direct Debit Membership or Swim School Direct Debit please note we will not take any further payments from you whilst we are closed and programs arent running. If you have an up front membership, we will extend those out for the time of the closure once we are able to reopen. We look forward to seeing you all again after the lock down.

A new concept design for the redevelopment of Aqua Energy has been approved Plans include: New 25 metre pool, pool hall and water treatment system New zero depth indoor water play space... New 24hr gym access New wet, dry, schools and family change areas New sauna New on-deck swim school office Refurbished outdoor pool change rooms Environmentally sustainable design improvements Wellington Shire Council Mayor Alan Hall had some fantastic things to say about the project, read more at aquaenergy.com.au/redevelopment The project will be funded by the John Leslie Foundation, Wellington Shire Council and external funding. There will be a chance for community feedback on the redevelopment concept design in the near future, stay tuned!

Staff and Management of Aqua Energy wish to thank you all for your patience and support in what has been a crazy year. We appreciate you sticking with us through the closures and being there first thing when we reopened. Here's hoping 2021 brings you all more fun times with us at Aqua Energy.

21.01.2022 Aqua Energy will remain closed under Step 3 of the State Government Road Map. The restrictions in Step 3 do not allow indoor facilities to open at this stage. This means our indoor pools, gym and indoor group fitness will remain closed. We will be kicking off some outdoor Group Fitness from next week, so keep an eye out Friday for information on how to get into a class.... We hope all of our members and guests are taking care during this time and we look forward to seeing you again in the facility soon.

20.01.2022 Fun / Recreational Swims Are Back! From tomorrow, Monday, 20 July, we will be reopening the Learn To Swim / Toddler Pools for fun and recreational swims. This will allow families to come along and have some fun in our Learn to Swim / Toddler Pools. Hours for attendance to the Learn to Swim / Toddler pools are:... 6am - 1pm & 6.30pm - 8pm Monday to Friday 8am - 12pm Weekends No bookings required Please note the Learn To Swim / Toddler pools are closed to the public from 4pm - 6.15pm Weekdays to allow for swimming lessons. We do have some restrictions and requirements for our families using the pools which are: All children 12 yrs or under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 Children 4yrs and under must have an adult in the water with them at all times as per the Watch Around Water guidelines Visits will be restricted to 1hr at a time Children are not to be in the Hydro Pool unless undertaking Warm Water Exercise / Rehab Space restrictions apply All visitors to the facility must be recorded for contact tracing All restrictions and requirements will be monitored by Aqua Energy staff and we ask that you follow instructions when in the facility. 18.01.2022 State Gov, COVID-19 Restriction Change From 5pm tonight the following restrictions will be in place in Victoria: Masks will be mandatory indoors. If you are planning to leave your home take a mask and it needs to be worn any time you are inside apart from when you’re eating or drinking.... This means, anyone attending Aqua Energy will be required to wear a face covering when entering the facility, moving around the facility, and leaving the facility. Patrons, however, will not be required to wear a face mask while they are completing their daily exercise.

17.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON OPERATIONS The Premiers announcement today came with some great news for us today, allowing us to increase our numbers in all areas of the facility from 6am tomorrow, Monday 23 November, allowing us to go back to normal operation with What's Changed?... 12.01.2022 In-10-Sive Swim Holiday Program is back in 2021. We will be running 3 weeks of the In-10-Sive Program this Summer. Week 1: Monday 4 January - Friday 8 January Week 2: Monday 11 January - Friday 15 January... Week 3: Monday 18 January - Friday 22 January The holiday program is a half hour session 5 days per week to work on swimming technique and progression. Cost is $65 per child for the week. 03.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON FACE COVERINGS AT AQUA ENERGY As you would now be aware, new restrictions introduced by the State Government apply from midnight this Sunday, 2 August 2020; that all people living in Rural Victoria are to wear a face covering when they leave home. There are a number of lawful reasons for not wearing a face covering including when doing strenuous exercise. From Monday 3 August, anyone attending Aqua Energy will be required to wear a face covering when... entering the facility, moving around the facility and leaving the facility. You will not be required to wear a face covering while you are completing your daily exercise however please, at all times, ensure you are practicing social distancing and hygiene health and follow staff instructions. 03.01.2022 There has some confusion around the Premiers announcement for the re-opening of swimming pools we know it has been very confusing! We have been getting plenty of questions via Facebook and over the phone. So weve tried to answer some of your questions here, to help you understand the current situation. What was the Premiers announcement?... The Premier announced the re-opening of outdoor pools that were closed due to Covid-19 regulations. Our outdoor pools were not closed due to Covid-19 regulations. They were closed because it was winter. Why cant you re-open the Aqua Energy indoor pools? Because we dont yet have permission from the Premier to open indoor swimming pools. We hope this will happen soon! Why cant you just open our outdoor pools? Simply put, they arent ready to open yet! Before each outdoor swim season, scheduled maintenance and preparation work is conducted across all 13 outdoor pools in Sale, Maffra, Yarram, Heyfield, Rosedale and Stratford. We also conduct a large recruitment process before the summer swim season to on-board our lifeguards. We cant open pools without lifeguards. What kind of work? Each pool is drained, cleaned, some are painted, some have repairs, the pools are re-filled and chemical balancing of the water needs to take place to meet health regulations. Some pools also need repairs and work to their toilets, change-rooms and kiosks before they are ready to open. What about the Sale outdoor pool? A large project is currently taking place at the Sale outdoor facility, which includes the building of new plant and equipment. This project isnt scheduled for completion until closer to the beginning of the normal outdoor swim season. Without plant and equipment, a pool cant operate. When will outdoor pools be open? Every year we open our outdoor pools around the end of November, when the weather is warmer and more people want to swim. The same will happen this year and we will give you plenty of notice. We hope this helps answer some of the questions you have about our indoor pools and the upcoming outdoor swim season. Please feel free to contact us if there is anything else you need to know

02.01.2022 Virtual Exercise Challenge - End Result While we were closed you might have noticed we had a Virtual Exercise Challenge happening with some of our members and casual users. They as a group together have traveled over 10,000km and burnt 531,468 calories. This is the equivalent of 2067 Big Macs....
