We have fared better than most during this pandemic, however, as 2021 begins, we know that the pandemic is not over. We know that businesses and families are still struggling and that public safety is still of importance. As our borders open and life hopefully begins to return to a new normal, we want to assure you that we are being proactive to protect your little ones, your own health, and the health of our community in all ways possible. 18.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Hi all, although we are unfortunately still closed at this time, with restrictions slowly being lifted, we hope that we will be able to resume our swimming lessons in the near future too. Rocky Bay have to make sure their residents are absolutely kept safe and healthy, and we wait eagerly for the day they can confidently let us all return to their wonderfully warm hydrotherapy pool. ... We miss being in the water with all our students and families! We will update everyone once we know more about expected return date and check in with our students and those who have expressed their interest in future lessons with us. Until then, keep up the good work Western Australia!

18.01.2022 In this article about how a healthy parent-child bond can be beneficial to a child's development, Anat describes one of the cornerstones of our approach to teaching in the water! "In infancy, when words are not yet spoken or understood, the non-verbal things such as touch, movement experiences, tone of voice, and the responsiveness of the caregiver, will leave their impressions on the newborn’s preliminary neuron connections which will then impact their lifelong emotional and somatic memory. Being safely held by an attuned parent, adding the sensation of skin touches skin and heart close to heart, provides a deep sense of belonging that resembles the safety and warmth of the womb. It thus creates a unique and enjoyable experience between parent and baby."

06.01.2022 A scientific review of 16 studies shows yet again that laying your babies on their stomachs while awake is the best thing you can do for their development. Child development considerations make up a large part of our approach teaching baby swimming and helping parents to best nurture their child's development. The following article is one such consideration we take into account in our swimming lessons.

06.01.2022 We are pleased to announce our first confirmed aquatic bodywork course to be available next year!
