24.01.2022 I am excited to introduce our new Aussie Dog Wheelchair model River. We had a very special photo shoot at Aquapaws the other day for the upgrade of our website. I couldn't resist sharing just a few of the amazing photos, pet photographer Colleen from Siroka Park Photography took. She has captured River still loving life even though she is in a wheelchair. Dogs really are amazing and so adaptable! Thanks so much Colleen for all of the incredible shots you took. Love these!

22.01.2022 Happy International Wheelchair Day!!! Because of these devices, so many humans and animals are able to be independent. We are so lucky to be part of some of... these stories, and seeing these precious souls get a second chance at life. There is no greater feeling than seeing them take their first steps to freedom. We hope you all have a lovely day! SFT - Animal Sanctuary See more

20.01.2022 COVID UPDATE! We are still here for you and your pets during Victoria's short Stage 4 lockdown! Routine services are NOT permitted. Care must only be provided if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant change/deterioration in the patient/client’s functional independence necessitating escalation of care. ... The Aquapaws swimming pool will be once again closed during this time and re opening Thursday 18th February unless we hear differently. Cases such as post surgical, end of life stages and degenerative conditions will continue to be treated. However, if the appointment is not urgent or time sensitive we recommend waiting until restrictions have eased to come see us. You are allowed to travel here even if you are outside the 5kms zone. Aquapaws will issue you with an Appointment Confirmation and Travel Certificate for your appointment. Masks must be worn. 18.01.2022 Is ISO weight a thing? Our Aquapaws Fido Fitness Club has been specifically designed to help pets rediscover their waist line and keep fit. Lets face it, we have all put on a few extra kgs during Covid 19 lock down! It puts your dog at greater risk for:... * cardiovascular disease, * joint and skeletal problems, * respiratory problems especially in the heat, * diabetes, * and some cancers. An extra kilo or two can make a big difference on your dog's small frame. Although ideal weight varies from breed to breed, a healthy balance between diet and exercise to keep your pup in good shape is a must. As in humans this problem can be easily tackled if given the right advice and tools to reshape your pet. The obesity equation is actually very simple. "Dogs that consume more calories than they burn, gain weight" So, to lose weight, your dog must eat less and exercise more. How can we help? Swimming is a calorie burner! Swimming burns calories and can help your pudgy pooch to lose weight, as well as tone muscles and improve overall health and fitness. By engaging several different muscle groups and the cardiovascular system, swimming can provide an excellent workout for a wide variety of dogs. They say that a 5 minute swim burns the equivalent energy to a 5km run! To find out more or to book your pudgy pooch in for a swim, please call us on 59 77 88 41

12.01.2022 Its not often I put on personal posts onto my business page but today I need to. I have just come home from a week stay in hospital (last night infact) after rupturing my appendix and a having a bowel resection. I am sore, can hardly walk, can’t eat much and am still feeling sick. I have spent most of today, even though I should be resting, trying to call back people who have left messages and return emails, and there has been a lot! I have also been trying to organise t...he temporary close of my business including my online store for a few weeks until I can recover. (Not great timing just after covid) This is the first time in 16 years I have had to close. I will say a huge thank you to all the people who have been very understanding of the situation, but am very disappointed in the angry people I have had to deal with too. I am not looking for sympathy as the situation is something I am not able to control. It is what it is and not something I wanted to happen either. I am also meant to be getting married next week which will be our 3rd attempt due to covid. So please, before you decide to call and get angry at me for taking too long to call you back or not being able to help you right now, that is the reason. I apologise to everyone but I will be back as soon as I can to help you all once again. Jo
