With that in mind, we would like to earnestly appeal to you: BRING BACK THE FACE MASK! We will be putting them on, for YOUR protection!... May we count on you that you will show us some reciprocal concern and put a mask when entering our shop? We will be very grateful! And we will feel much safer! You too! See more

13.01.2022 AUSTRALIA DAY AT AQUARAMA! On Sunday, 26 January 2020, the Aquarama Team - people and ...fish!- is celebrating the Australia Day. Fish have a sleep-in the whole day while Marek and Maria will go to town to see how fellow Australians are enjoying such festivities. See you again on Tuesday from 12:30.

12.01.2022 TELEPHONE SERVICE IN BLACKTOWN 'CONGESTED' COVID-19 SITUATION Dear Aquarama Friends,... Problems with telephone service (NBN) in Blacktown continue. If you try to ring us, you may hear a message that 'the area is congested' or you will hear ...nothing! That does not mean we are not there, only that you cannot reach us by phone. For the time being we will stay OPEN as normal while awaiting authorities decision whether we are classified as an 'essential' or 'non-essential' service. We believe that all living creatures deserve to be fed and looked after so shops like ours should provide at least basic services. However, taking into account risk to which YOU and we are exposed when wandering out of home, we would like to seek your advice: * Shall we try to maintain our normal opening hours? * Would it be OK to work shorter shifts? If so, what would you prefer: morning/midday (say, 10-2) or midday/afternoon (12-4)? * Would you accept if we ask for no more than, say, 3 customers be inside the shop, while others would wait outside or in the cars? We promise we will try to serve everyone as quickly as practical ( and Marek, in particular, will be instructed to talk ...much less!). We are looking forward to better, quieter times. In the meantime let's stay positive and be friendly to each other ...from a safe distance. Greetings to you all and a friendly elbow-bump and foot-shake.

11.01.2022 Dear Aquarama Friends, WE AND OUR FISH IN THE TIMES OF PANDEMIA NEW TRADING TIME... The time has come to introduce some tough measures in order to make ALL OF US SAFER: You, us and our pets (because if we get sick, who will look after them!). Falling in line with the rest of the society we need to implement our way of 'social distancing' - better now, when we are OK, then too late when it might become a 'quarantine'! THIS WEEK - till Sunday 29 March 2020 - we will be opening as usual at 10 but will be CLOSING at 4 PM. From next week, STARTING MONDAY 30 MARCH 2020, we will reduce trading time much more radically: Monday - CLOSED (as usual) Tuesday - 12-4 Wednesday - CLOSED Thursday - 12-4 Friday - CLOSED Saturday - 12-4 Sunday - CLOSED We will return to normal trading when the rest of the country will do so as well. 08.01.2022 Dear Aquarama Friends! EXTREME HEAT ON SATURDAY 4/1/2020 - SHOP CLOSED! TOO HOT FOR ALL: FISH and PEOPLE! The forecast for Saturday is that during our regular opening hours: 10-4 the temperature will above 40 degrees, peaking at 45 by the afternoon. This is outright dangerous for all of us: fish and humans!... We cannot keep the door open, as we will cook the tanks (they are already running above 30 deg!), but we cannot stay inside with doors closed as both you, the visitors, and us, the staff, are in danger of a heat stroke. Thus, with regret, we must CLOSE the shop for the whole SATURDAY 4 January 2020. See you on Sunday, when we are expecting a 'balmy' 25 deg. Stay cool ...the best you can! See more

05.01.2022 COVID-19 PLEA !!! WEAR A FACE MASK !!! PLEASE !!! Dear Aquarama Friends, It appears that the world, represented by the World Health Organization, is rethinking the strategy for limiting the spread of Coronavirus. EVERYBODY SHOULD WEAR A FACE MASK !!! Not so much to prevent you from catching it, should you be careless, but to PROTECT OTHERS in case YOU might unknowingly be carrying it.... In simple words, let's do it as a measure of RESPECT AND CARE FOR OTHERS!!! If you have one, PLEASE carry it with you and PUT IT ON when coming to see us. Whether I like it or (rather) not, I belong to the high-risk group should I catch the Nasty. 03.01.2022 NEW LOOK AT AQUARAMA! Dear Aquarama Friends, Our neighbour at Blacktown, Good Doctor Kabir, has 'inspected' our shop and decided to impose on us a new, apparently very fashionable look. No panic! We are OK but the Good Doctor says one cannot afford to be careless these days. So, in the interest of You, us and the fish, please accept that little bit of 'social distancing'. 03.01.2022 TELEPHONE OUTAGES IN BLACKTOWN !!! Dear Aquarama Friends, If you try to ring us and will get a message that 'the number if unavailable', do not panic! WE ARE STILL AT WORK!!! It is the NBN in our area that is not! Over the past few days we have been suffering from outages, from few to several hours at the time. Today, Friday 20/3/2019, we have been out since the morning and no one has any idea when the service might be back.... So, on the weekend just come to see us between 10 AM and 4 PM. Stay safe! 02.01.2022 HEAT IS COMING AGAIN !!! Dear Aquarama Friends, The weather forecast becomes frightening again with temperatures climbing up towards 40 deg and possibly above. In such conditions the tanks may go above 30 deg which creates mortal danger to the fish. The heat will peak on Saturday and so we may decide not to open the shop. With doors closed and lights out, the tanks will hold around 30 deg and fish will stay 'dormant' thus reducing strain on filtration and aeration. Sunday is... shaping not much better! Taking all that into account, if you are planning to VISIT US, PLEASE do it BEFORE THE WEEKEND! 02.01.2022 FESTIVE SEASON AT AQUARAMA BLACKTOWN ! Dear Aquarama Friends, We, like you, are a bit rushed with preparations to the Festive Season. Especially that, according to Polish tradition, we start celebrating on the Christmas Eve already! Nevertheless, tomorrow, on Tuesday, we will be at the shop the usual 5 hours: 12:30 to 5:30, just in case you need the last minutes gifts for your family or ...fish!... Christmas Day (25) and Boxing Day (26) we would like to spend with out family like ...you All. Hope, you you will understand, accept and forgive us for having the shop closed. We will be back on Friday, 27 December. Next week, we will again work on New Year's Eve (31) 12:30 to 5:30. On New Year Day we will be resting , together with the ...whole country. We are back to normal work schedule from 2 January 2020. We would like to thank You All for having supporting us this year and hope to see you in good shape (beware all those Christmas goodies full of calories!) - happy and healthy!
