25.01.2022 Yet another interesting and dangerous DIY electrical repair. The internal transformer had obviously failed so the owner just wired one externally and for good measure they waterproofed it by putting it in a sealable food container. 25.01.2022 Got a call from a customer that had a bore in Henley Brook that was runing out of water and the water that they were getting was no good for the horses. They had been advised by another contractor that the bore could not be saved and that they would need to spend $5000 on a new one. After chemical and mechanical development this is the end result. Customer is very happy and most importantly so are the horses.

22.01.2022 Installing a Lowara 16Gs 55 on a horse property in Henley brook

20.01.2022 Bindoon 70m Pump recovery for Matt from Downright Plumbing And Excavations. The pump had snapped the Stainless wire, Polly delivery pipe and electrics and had fallen to the bottom of the bore becoming wedged in the screen. We were able to send a camera down the bore to see what the situation was and fabricate an appropriate recovery tool.... The pump and all associated equipment was recovered from the bore saving the customer thousands of dollars for a replacement bore. A new Lowara 8GS single phase pump was installed with all electrical work by Ace Electrics Perth. The customer once again has water for the house and the animals as the bore was the only water supply.

19.01.2022 Air Developing a domestic bore in Park Street Henley Brook

19.01.2022 Recent project to replace the failed 15kw CRI S6S-48/10 6 inch bore pump at Hollywood Private Hospital in Nedlands. The old unit was winched out, stripped, inspected and found to be uneconomical to repair. A camera was run down the 8 inch casing to examine the condition of the screen and casing.... Reece irrigation in Malaga supplied a replacement Lowara Zn646/10 Pump and 15Kw motor. 17.01.2022 Make sure you get the right tradesman for the job We are ADIA licensed water bore Drillers with nearly 30 year’s industry experience installing and repairing water bores. Drilling new bores, repairing bores and pumps, that’s all we do no gimmicks no free Bore health checks We just diagnose the problem and fix it right the first time, with quality parts and workmanship. ... We had a call from a customer that had spent a considerable amount last year on the installation of a Plastic Non Return Valve after he had a free bore health check. The valve failed within 13 months (Just out side the promised 12 month warranty period). We explained to the customer that the proven industry standard is an Australian made 50mm Alderdice brass check valve. We installed a new brass valve at only $30 more than they had paid for a plastic one. The bore is up and running again. The lesson for the customer, if you want your bore fixed properly first time hire a licensed Driller who has years of experience drilling new bores, fixing old bores and replacing or repairing pumps.

15.01.2022 An interesting pump recovery job in Stoneville. The pump had failed and was stuck solid 21 m down in a 6 Inch casing. We were able to recover the 4 inch pump which was installed in a 100mm PVC shroud that had a mass of tree roots growing from the top of the shroud.... The pump inlet was blocked solid with iron deposits.

What price do you put on your life and property? This was a single phase bore pump install we came across in Landsdale with the cable not in conduit and only 125mm under the sand.... 09.01.2022 A job that Aquarian Drilling and Ace Electrics Perth recently completed with Vini's Landscaping and Reticulation Service in North Perth. The property had an old 13m deep well that had been built inside the garage. The depth to water had increased over the last few seasons causing reduced pressure, coverage and reliability issues (Loss of prime). The well had a 4 inch thick solid concrete lid that had to be removed to access the well, which made servicing a nightmare.... When we lifted the well lid it was quite a surprise to see what the previous contractor had installed in the bore making access to the pump quite tricky. 08.01.2022 The classic result of a pump running against a closed head. The customer had complained about "the pump running with no water". Initial checking of the solenoid Ohm's readings at the controller showed an open circuit on valve number one. The system did not have a pressure release valve so the pump boiled the water and split the delivery pipe. A simple repair we also fixed the broken solenoid wire and installed a pressure relief valve. 04.01.2022 Deep well repair specialists. Got a call from a customer in West Leederville who had a deep old fashioned bore that was not pumping water. When we attended the site we found the old bore nestled out the back of the property between several sheds and a chicken coop.... When we removed the lid we found a 30m deep bore that was originally installed by her father many years ago (one of the best DIY installations we have seen in years). James from Ace Electrics Perth went down the well to fault find what the problem was it turned out to be a fused Stalker 1 inch High Lift pump. We removed the failed unit and installed an Ebara CMB 5.50 and a new 50mm Alderdice Non Return Valve. The system was primed and is now pumping again just in time for Spring.

New 80mm slotted casing and 50mm brass check valve installed, cleaned the sand from the pump and reticulation another happy customer

02.01.2022 Another fine example of why it pays to hire professionals to sort out your bore pump problems. The customer had been having problems with his pump for a couple of weeks blowing fuses randomly. His solution was to replace the rated fuse wire with Copper wire because he thought it would last longer.... He obviously was not aware that the fuse is rated to blow to protect the cable and prevent the risk of a house fire. I had James from Ace Electrics Perth fault find the system and he traced the issue down to a faulty Isolation switch in the well $175 later and the problem was fixed. The pump runs fine on the correct sized fuse wire.

01.01.2022 Got a call out from a customer that had broken the riser and shaft on a windmill in Bullsbrook, the bore is 69m deep. We were able to get a good image of the down hole issue and hopefully the broken sections will be removed today and the Windmill can be replaced by a Solar pump.
