19.01.2022 The mandatory practice of attaching a Protective Earth (2.5 mm) to all PABX installatiins and cabinets etc is often neglected by cablers and electricians. Make sure you only give your work to qualified communications technicians and engineers.

18.01.2022 Why do the NBN guys install the NTU in the upstairs bedrooms. I am finding thus to be the case, often. There are people who require their old cordless phone to work in the downstairs kitchen. This will require an upgrade of cabling or stronger WiFi. An expense many do not expect.

12.01.2022 Residential. Self installation of your new NBN SP gateway. Remember no matter who your provider is, only use the number one port unless stated otherwise. This will be your network termination point. Do not plug your phone into the voice ports 1 and 2 on the NBN unit. Your home phone and or voice cables, plug into your phone socket/s of the SP gateway.

11.01.2022 The customer is always right. They wanted it tidied up, fix a port and voicemail set up. I felt like saying if they kept their fingers out, it would still be how we installed it two years ago. And if they kept theirs (and their IT) out of the programming, they would still have system voicemail. All good and done.
