24.01.2022 We are very pleased to announce that our partner RTO Allen's Training have developed modified courses which allow us to run first aid training while still maint...aining safe work practices. This modified training is only available during COVID-19 restrictions and still allows participants to gain nationally accredited first aid certification. All of the theory lessons and assessments are conducted online then participants book in for a short face to face practical assessment. A maximum of 2 participants per session is allowed. 22.01.2022 We regret to announce that effective immediately all of our courses have been suspended until further notice due to COVID-19. On Thursday the Australian Resusci...tation Council advised against running courses due to the risk of infection. Yesterday the federal government increased the social distancing rules making it unrealistic to safely run any courses. As an emergency nurse I totally agree with these decisions by both the ARC & government as I know the difficult times ahead that we will face in the ED. Although it will impact on our business in multiple ways, helping reduce the spread of the virus is currently far more important and we hope other businesses follow suit. Mandatory requirements: -Minimum 5 years teaching first aid -Patient care experience (Paramedic, Nurse, Army medic, Sports trainer etc). -Certificate IV TAE (40116 or upgrades completed) -Willing to travel- We offer courses Australia wide with the majority of our courses in Cairns and surrounds. - Qld working with children positive notice -Open drivers licence There is also the option to work in other areas of our business including event medical/first aid coverage, Lifeguarding (lifeguard experience essential) and equipment sales/restocking. Our team of instructors are experienced Paramedics, Army Medics, EMT's, Nurses and Sports Trainers. They are all highly trained in emergency care and pass on this wealth of knowledge to all our students.

02.01.2022 COVID-19 Precautions Category 5 Emergency Care (and it's subsidiaries) are closely monitoring the advice issued by the Australian & Queensland Government regard...ing managing the risk associated with COVID-19. At this stage we are still running courses, however this may change in the future if advice changes. We have increased our already strict hygiene practices to include: Increased disinfection of our mannequins, equipment and training facilities. We encourage participants to use hand sanitiser during classes and wash their hands thoroughly before class, after any practical skills, breaks, toileting and at the end of class. All participants will be required to use gloves when completing practical exercises We will use pocket masks with one way valves for resuscitation, rather than face shields as we feel this provides additional infection protection. CPR mannequins will be disinfected between each participant use. *Additional precautions may be used. Please do not attend class if: Are experiencing any signs and symptoms related to COVID-19 (Fever, Cough, Flu like symptoms Have been required to self isolate- recent overseas travel, come into contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case..
