22.01.2022 We finally have some good news Outdoor pools can open again for the first time in months! The number of people now allowed in outdoor pools across Victoria will still be limited with many locations asking you to pre-book hourly sessions so that no-one is left disappointed. You'll also still need to stick to the 1.5 metre social distancing regulations, you'll need to wear a mask before and after swimming and the ease of restrictions is limited to lap swimming, water exercise... and rehabilitation - which means lockers and changing rooms won't be open. 02.01.2022 It's Water Safety Week, so as we all start to head back to the pools and open water, we need to remember to always keep safe. Did you know that there were 34 drowning deaths and 100 non-fatal drowning incidents in Victoria in 2019-20? We want to make sure these numbers are even lower as we head into the new year. Remember, when it comes to being safe around water, the people you’re looking out for needs to include you. ... Never swim alone, know the risks, don't drink and swim and always keep your eyes on children in the water.
