22.01.2022 Our TSS Dolphins picked up a couple of medals at the very controversial World Championships in Korea. Cam McEvoy scored a bronze in the 4x100m Freestyle relay and a silver in the mixed 4 x 100m Freestyle relay. Kiah Melverton picked up a Gold in the 4 x 200m Freestyle relay. They're still on the move and are now headed to a training camp in Tokyo.

21.01.2022 Day Two of the Queensland Championships is the beginning of the individual events and always an exciting occasion. Subjected to torrential rain, the TSS team was undeterred and focused. Successful athletes need to be adaptable and TSS swimmers practice being independent and in control. Preparations were adjusted and intensified and opportunities were seized throughout the day. Commonwealth Medalist Kiah Melverton set the tone in the Women's 16yrs and Over 400 Individual Me...dley, fighting hard through each stroke to claim a brilliant and brave Silver medal (4.40.92) only one tenth behind the Gold. It would have been easy to settle for second but with 100m to go she threw caution to the wind and was only a fingernail behind the winner. Competitive spirit is a special skill and athletes need to practice driving themselves to that special level of performance. TSS Senior International swimmers led by example today. Flynn McGregor (Boys 14yrs 200m Individual Medley) and Kalani Skipps (16yrs 200m Butterfly) were inspired to equally impressive efforts. Flynn destroyed the field and himself to claim Gold in 2.08.60 and Kalani laid it on the line, winning Silver in 2.08.38. Enjoy today's video highlights... https://www.youtube.com/watch

18.01.2022 TSS Swimming produced an incredible day of racing yesterday at the National Short Course Championships in Melbourne. TSS Old Boy Grayson Bell (Walker), claimed Gold in the 50m Breaststroke, making him a back-to-back National Champion in this event. Grayson, accompanied by fellow TSS Old Boy Josh Parrish (McKinley), Cameron McEvoy and David Morgan also claimed Gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay, just 0.91 seconds off the National Record!... Josh also won a Bronze medal earlier in the night with a superb swim in the 400m Freestyle. In total TSS won 8 medals, which included three Golds, 1 Silver and four Bronze medals. Well done to Chris, Adam and the TSS Team Good luck over the next two days!

17.01.2022 Well done to our amazing swimmers competing in Italy for the World Uni Games. Special mention to Moesha Johnson (Silver in the 1500m), Alice Stuart (Bronze in the Medley relay). Also, a huge Well Done to Kai Edwards for a courageous 14th place finish in the 10km at the World Championships. Kai just missed the automatic qualification for the Olympics. This was his first time on the Senior Dolphins Team. He will have another shot at making the 2020 Olympics next year. He did however just finish 5th in the 25km! After five hours of racing he was only eight seconds off a medal.

17.01.2022 The 50M pool was a hive of activity last Saturday when TSS Aquatic played host to swimmers from Bond University who joined Liam's Squad for an inter club training and racing session. It was a unique training environment which provided some exciting racing opportunities for swimmers from both Clubs.

11.01.2022 TSS Aquatic achieved some sensational results at the annual Swimming Gold Coast Awards last Sunday. We had 14 of our amazing swimmers receive awards and our Club was awarded number one on the Gold Coast! In addition to our coaches taking out first place in the Coaching Award section. Well done team - amazing results!

10.01.2022 Kiah Melverton and David Morgan showed their class on Day Three of the Championships taking wins in the Women's 400m Freestyle (4.07.72) and Men's 100m Butterfly (53.30) David needed every ounce of his international experience, digging deep to claim victory in the final five metres. Kiah showed her pedigree, seizing control of the race at the 50m mark and dominating the race till the end. ... Our collection of Senior and International swimmers set the tone for the group with their attitude, positive intent and professionalism. Working in such close proximity with the rest of the team provides huge learning opportunities for the Junior swimmers and the competitiveness of the Seniors clearly rubs off on the Junior swimmers. Leading by example, taking on busy and demanding programmes and practicing resilience, with such great role models it is easy for the rest of the Team to follow suit. Charlotte Mitchell claimed a fantastic Bronze in the Girls 17-18yrs 400m Freestyle (4.22.48) attacking from the outset, Charlotte's positive initiative paid dividends. 09.01.2022 Congratulations to our Madeleine McTernan (multi-class TSS Aquatic Swimmer) who has been selected as one of the Ambassadors for the INAS Global Games in 2019. Go Madeleine! https://vimeopro.com/studio18a/global-games-2019

09.01.2022 Competing at a very high standard, repeatedly over a number of days is challenging but very, very possible with careful and considered preparation. TSS Swimmers plan to be independent, adaptable, resilient and accept that great performance requires monumental effort. These traits take time to develop but are fundamental to the coaching process at TSS. Training is what happens in the pool, coaching is helping swimmers develop the mental skills needed for sport and life. Team T...SS continued their strong showing in the pool with Maddie McTernan striking Gold in the Girls 17-18yrs 200m Freestyle (2.22.06). Maddie repeated this excellent performance in the Women's 200m Freestyle taking Bronze in (2.22.00) Zoe Mackenzie (Girls 1.30.04) and Noah Robinson (Boys 1.30.13) won brilliant Silver medals in the 15-16yrs 100m Breaststroke. Kalani Skipps made it three Silvers with a hard fought second place in the Boys 16yrs 100m Butterfly (56.24). Daniel Fox capped off another busy day with a Bronze medal in the Men's 200m Freestyle (2.01.75) One day to go and we are ready to step up and swim fast!! https://youtu.be/-doqmBx-GVU

07.01.2022 The fastest swimmers in Australia have descended upon Brisbane for The World Championship Swimming Trials this week, which includes many TSS swimmers The TSS swimmers have swum to their maximum this week, and at the mid-point of the meet TSS currently have 3 swimmers selected for the World Championships to be held in Gwangju, South Korea, at the end of July (David Morgan, 200m Fly, Kiah Melverton, 400m, 800m, 1500m Free, Maddy Gough 1500m Free). There was a highly commendabl...e performance from TSS Oldboy Josh Parrish (McK, 15) who finished 2nd in the Men's Open 800m freestyle. This was Josh's first personal best time in this event for almost 4 years, throughout which time he has shown great perseverance and determination to improve himself and his performances, which in turn has resulted in him achieving this performance. A true testament to the saying that personal development takes time. Josh is also a member of the 2019 Australian World University Games team, who are preparing to compete in Naples, Italy, in 4 weeks time, which we'll keep you updated on. The times from Maddy Gough and Kiah Melverton, who took out 1st and 2nd in the womens 1500m free, rank them 3rd and 4th in the world this year. David Morgans lifetime best, which saw him win the Men's 200m Butterfly currently ranks him 7th in the world this year, which suggests that the TSS swimmers will be an integral part of the Australian Dolphins swimming team this Winter. Summary of TSS results to date: 18x Finalists (Top-8) 15x Top-5 results 1x 3rd Placings 5x 2nd Placings 2x 1st Placings 3x World Championship Qualifiers All the best to the swimmers competing in the remaining half of the week.

01.01.2022 This year's Queensland State Championships opened with exciting performances from Team TSS in the Relays. The poolside was buzzing with energy as the teams came together to compete. Working as a Team and having opportunities to practice these skills is a key part of developing swimmers at TSS. Relay swimming is the chance to put all these skills into practice and TSS stepped up today. Our teams consistently and impressively swam way beyond the total of their regular bests. Th...e most impressive were the Boys 10yrs and Under Freestyle and Medley Teams who stepped up on the big occasion. Today's medals were shared by the Boys 16yrs and under Medley Team who claimed Silver in 1.48.16 (Evan Mitchell, Cameron Clark, Kalani Skipps and Copper Ritchie), Darcy Cole Gold (12 yrs and under Regional Freestyle Relay) and Micala Macleod Silver and Bronze (10 yrs and under Regional Medley and Freestyle Relay). https://youtu.be/NjwdssWmTHg
