24.01.2022 Reminder........... Bookings will be locked from week 8 (30th of November) for the remainder of term 4. If your child moves up in this time they will remain in their current class to complete the term. CHANGES & ADDING SIBLINGS for term 1 2021 can be done from week 9 (7th of December) via the portal, phone, email or in person. If you are unsure what level your child needs to be next term please feel free to ask our friendly team members on deck.

23.01.2022 A skin tip from the experts. With the showers not in use & the warmer weather on its way it is vital that we take extra care of our skin Stay hydrated, your skin will thank you when you drink enough water Vitamin C spray (1 tea spoon of vitamin C powder in 500ml water) sprayed on after a swim Moisturise straight after you get out of the water with quality cream Shower with non soap products as soon as possible. Start with luke warm water to avoid pores opening up to... quickly. Re cream after shower and especially before bed Exfoliate at least twice a week with a scrub or a brush Use an oil once or twice a week Understand different products will work for different people When translating this information for baby skin obviously softer scrubs and gentle brushes are best. Arbonne have a great baby range. If you have any other skin tips or products you have found that work for you please feel free to comment below. Some of the products we love are Nivea (especially the one with vitamin C in it), Pure Fiji sugar scrubs & oils, coconut oil (any from the super market), Body shop body brush

16.01.2022 Practice practice practice! Have fun this Summer & visit some of the beautiful outdoor swim areas in Canberra. Ensuring your child is exposed to lots of different swimming environments will make them a safer swimmer not to mention will assist in building their swimming skills. Keep in mind for established swim centres there may be booking rules this Summer Swim Season. They may run a little different and the logistics are being ironed out at the moment. In house meets are a great environment for your child to test their swim racing skills, have a lot of fun and learn what the sport of swimming is all about. 14.01.2022 Ever wanted to become a swimming Coach? Join Rhiannon on Saturday January 16th 2021 for the teacher of competitive swimming course at Aquatots. This course is a beginner swim coaching course that is also the pre requisite to the development coaching qualification. Register at www.ascta.com today.

14.01.2022 Week 8 starts today at all Aquatots pools. Make up lessons can be booked from today via the portal only in weeks 8, 9 & 10. Children receive 1 make up lesson per term, your child must have been marked absent for a reason in the portal for the system to recognise the need for a make up lesson. Make up lessons are subject to availability in current classes. Once booked, the need for a make up lesson becomes void (there are no make up lessons for missed make up lessons & no rebo...oks so please book carefully) Bookings for progression programs also open via the portal only this week. Gold Creek & Googong will be running programs (if you attend Forde feel free to book one of these centres) If your child holds a roll over booking with Aquatots we will cover one progression program (extra weeks booked will be charged to your account) Please note there are no cancellations for the progression programs & once booked if your child does not attend the cost of the program is due, as per booking agreement signed when booking. Underwater weeks-instructors & parents will spend time underwater for the next couple of weeks so please remember to bring your goggles to class. all bookings are locked in for the last 3 weeks of term. There will be no changes available until term 1 (changed for term 1 can be made from week 9) Happy week 8

12.01.2022 Could be the universe telling us something if you are heading up north these holidays pack the umbrella & maybe a light water craft this time round But seriously though if you are travelling these holidays please ensure you stay safe, practice good hygiene & if you feel unwell with Covid like symptoms please get tested. Our Progression programs commence on the 11th of January and we ask for all participants to be healthy & well to attend the program especially if you have travelled over the break.

11.01.2022 Practicing our vertical twists with the Jelly Fish 1’s Once your baby is conditioned to submerge & submerging comfortably it is time to move onto twisting in the water. We teach twisting so that your baby can easily turn their body around once submerged and grab on. This proves to be an important life saving skill when around water & the younger we start the earlier they learn Not to mention the core work out & mental stimulation these mini humans are receiving just by bein...g in the water #aquatots #swimming #babyswim

09.01.2022 Wondering what the children are working on this week in SwimSAFER week?? One of our stations we are focusing on beach safety. Children are asked to identify the rip & where is the safest place to swim in the pictures. They are then asked to place Santa in the safest place to swim at that beach. Do you know how to spot a rip and what to do if you are caught in one? Ask your child if they can tell you where the safest place to swim at the beach is.

09.01.2022 Great news for Canberrans and our friends down south the ACT and New South Wales (NSW) borders have reopened to Victoria today. People entering the ACT from ...Victoria will no longer need to seek an exemption from ACT Health. Travel by road and rail is also allowed and no exemption is required to travel through NSW. There has been no new cases or community transmission in Victoria in more than three weeks. This has allowed us to lift this restriction so we can welcome Victorian visitors to Canberra. If you’re making holiday plans or looking at reuniting with family and friends in Victoria, check back on the latest travel advice, as things can change rapidly. A progression program consists of one 30 minute lesson per day for 4 days and is a great way to see fast progress as the children ar...e practicing their skills every day. Once booked there are no cancellations (unless for an illness) if your child holds a booking but does not attend the 4 sessions the cost of the program will be billed to your account so please book wisely.
