25.01.2022 Spent some time this week visiting Belyuen and Wagait Beach Loved the visual reminder in the local store of just how much sugar is in the drinks we commonly consume. A nice prompt to make a healthier choice! #healthychoices#lovethent#mobileoccupationaltherapy#arafuraoccupationaltherapy @ Wagait Beach

24.01.2022 Enabling independence Have had recent success setting up toothpaste dispensers for clients with limited hand function due to injury and reduced strength to squeeze a toothpaste tube. Video from Active Hands shows how a simple device can make this task achievable.

22.01.2022 Was privileged to have been able to travel to the beautiful Jabiru and visit some of the outstations last week. Travelled with some amazing therapists to catch up with clients all thanks to the wonderful team at Eunoia Lane. Always handy to take a few tools with me when travelling to make running adjustments to wheelchairs unexpectedly #dothent#remotework#communityoccupationaltherapy#eunoialanedarwin#arafuraoccupationaltherapy

21.01.2022 Occupational therapists work with people to discover, regain and maintain engagement in meaningful activities specific to the individual. A large part of what we do is to explore deeper into the why we do what we do which satisfies a deeper feeling of fulfilment. There are many things which make us happy but this feeling can be temporary. Fulfilment is longer lasting and is the difference between liking and loving the goals we set out to achieve. #occupationaltherapy #knowingyourwhy #arafuraoccupationaltherapy

11.01.2022 Arafura Occupational Therapy is 1-year-old It has not always been an easy path juggling different hats, moments of self doubt and long hours learning and trying new things but I wouldnt have it any other way ... I am loving the new and exciting opportunities setting up my own OT business has brought me and the personal growth which has come with it 6 things I have learnt in my first year of business: Do not over think it, sometimes you need to go with your gut Know the WHY in everything you do Ask for help and accept it Utilise many of the wonderful resources on offer around you Know you are going to make mistakes but more importantly learn from them Keep true to yourself and the people you set out to support #1stbirthday#lovemyjob#arafuraoccupationaltherapy
