22.01.2022 The 'Welcome Swallow' - these sweet little birds arrived on the island in the 1970's they build their nests out of mud and you can find them over cow paddocks or bodies of water. : @jackshick_lhiphotography

22.01.2022 Sooty Terns breed in colonies on rocky or coral islands. They lay their eggs on the ground and not in nests. They lay around one to three eggs and feed by taking fish from the surface of their marine environment. They rarely come to land except to breed and can stay out to sea for three to ten years. Take a walk along Blinky Beach, you will see these birds nesting in the sand dunes with their little spotty eggs just sitting there.
