24.01.2022 Great to see Paul back in our studio last week. His art makes us as happy as it makes him. Looking forward to seeing the finished masterpiece, Paul

22.01.2022 Say cheese! Mum, Denise, sent this picture of Mel with bread rolls she made at home - best served fresh out of the oven with vegemite, we hear. Participants in our Virtual Cooking sessions are building an impressive range of skills as the recipes get trickier over time. Well done Mel and thanks to you both for sharing. Get info about our current range of Virtual Supports here: https://www.araluen.org//Virtual-Suports-A4-V2-Sept-2020-W

19.01.2022 We just keep on strutting our stuff - Robert and Diarmid enjoyed a safe walk in the sun and the sights of Diamond Creek with Tom a few weeks ago.

16.01.2022 Residents in our group homes are keeping busy and having fun - Carlie's enjoying having in-home support to get creative.

16.01.2022 Participants in our live stream cooking session followed instructions from the safety of their own kitchens to make fresh fettuccine with pumpkin, spinach, sultana and creamy parmesan sauce. Eleanor and family report it was delicious! Nice work, Eleanor - you're making us hungry...

15.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who's sent us photos of the yummy things you've made at home during our Virtual Cooking livestream sessions. Emily made mini raspberry cheesecakes. Emily's mum vouches that they were "scrumptious". Good job, Emily, and well done to Virtual Cooking staff, Michael and Mark, too for the "fun and informative session". Info about our current range of Virtual Supports is here: https://www.araluen.org//Virtual-Suports-A4-V2-Sept-2020-W

15.01.2022 Today, Bec, Nathan and Wendy joined our virtual 'Auslan for Beginners' session to learn to communicate visually with members of the deaf community. Marnie and Tim are teaching participants to sign the letters of their names. You can see our Virtual Supports Guide, including new subjects on offer, here: https://www.araluen.org//Virtual-Suports-A4-V2-Sept-2020-W

13.01.2022 Molly, Nick, Dani and other participants made gingerbread houses this week. Yum - but they look too good to eat. Nice work!

13.01.2022 Only 3 weeks until Christmas! Curious-minded participants in our hands-on Online Science sessions are growing their own melt-proof snowflake decorations using a borax solution. Well done Beck, Eleanor and Rochelle! https://www.araluen.org/supports/

10.01.2022 Wow - Hamish and staff art specialist, Marion, are having 'pots of fun' creating ceramic masterpieces together via the web. Our brilliant Virtual Support staff are now all working off-site - but they're still providing safe ways for participants to make art, join our book club or knitting circle, conduct science experiments, cook delicious food, look after pets, stay fit...there's so much we can do together online! We thank every one of them for the great work they keep doing. And well do e, Hamish! See https://www.araluen.org/supports/

02.01.2022 Kate "stirred up" some community spirit by using her 1:1 support time to create this addition to Spoonville, Diamond Creek. These characters are popping up all over Melbourne's suburban nature strips, entertaining kids and adults on their daily walk. Well done, Kate!
