25.01.2022 KinderGym Virtual Lesson - Crocodile Theme! We know you can't come to us right now to enjoy your weekly classes of movement so we thought we would come to you. ...Our first virtual lesson will get the whole room rocking with our warm up song today. We continue to help develop your child's gross motor and fine motor skills with things that are practical at this given time, with items you may find around your home and activities appropriate for your living room or backyard. Modifications can be made to suit your child's age and ability. For example - your under 2's who aren't jumping independently can be assisted under the arm pits or by holding hands. As safety is our number one value , make sure you clear the area of objects and make a safe space to practise your activities together (parent supervision recommended). You can watch our class all the way through or pause between activities to practise for longer. We hope you enjoy what we have in store for you and look forward to seeing all the fun your having by sharing and tagging us on social media. @peninsula_gymnastics_vic.

23.01.2022 In light of the announcements today / Wednesday 5th August will be the last day of training while we then go back into Stage 3 regional restrictions. We want to thank our coaches, students and families for their support, dedication and enthusiasm that has allowed the club to get back into training over the last few weeks. We understand if you are unable to attend this week and respect this decision. Please all stay well and safe and we look forward to enjoying the last few hours of gym this week.

20.01.2022 Dear Parents, Important notice regarding Coronavirus- COVID-19 and Club Operations. Ararat and District Club has made the difficult decision to suspend all gymnastics programs effective immediately (16/3/2020) until further notice.... Together we, Coaches and Committee feel we are not prepared enough with resources to adequately clean and sanitise our gymnastics hall to protect our gymnastics family. Unfortunately we have not been able to source appropriate cleaning materials or hand sanitiser to deal with this large scale infectious disease. As this is a rapidly evolving situation, we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this difficult period. This is a decision we don't take lightly and want to reassure all members of the Ararat Gymnastics Club that we will continue to work with Gymnastics Victoria and the Ararat Rural City Council and other health authorities to ensure the health and wellbeing of our gymnasts, coaches, and greater gymnastics family. We will make contact via sms, email and on the Facebook page with any further updates or when we can resume our programs. Thank you A&DGC

13.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to our members, families and coaches as we return tonight for the start of Term 3. We appreciate your support as we all navigate through these new times and challenges. Everyone has had a great night and it’s nice to see smiles on faces . There are a few things we still need to work through with council and we’ll address these over the coming days. 05.01.2022 Balance is the ability to maintain a controlled body position during task performance, whether it is sitting at a table, walking the balance beam or stepping up onto a kerb. To function effectively across environments and tasks, we need the ability to maintain controlled positions during both static (still) and dynamic (moving) activities. This is a great activity for parents to practice with their children at home. Please feel free to post photos of your children balancing on our post

01.01.2022 Dear Parents, What a roller coaster of a year we have all been on! Information regarding Term 4 Gymnastics and beyond will be sent to your email once finalised however I’ve been receiving lots of inquiries regarding the return of Gymnastics ... Firstly, no easy decision following the new regulations imposed after we recently finished the latest lock down. In short it has been decided that our entire program will remain closed until 2021. I understand this will be quite heart breaking for some children but we will be back in some shape or form hopefully similar to our last return from lock down in 2021!
