25.01.2022 Two of our staff did the Aradale Ghost Tour last Monday night & can`t stop talking about it, they absolutely loved it, I`m doing the tour next month, can`t wait, all reports have been fantastic!!!

24.01.2022 Just heard from Adam ( from the Aradale Ghost Tours ) today, their are over 200 people doing the Show each weekend now & the feedback we are getting from our guests is fantastic. If you haven`t done the tour yet I suggest you might have to book well ahead just to get in, go for it!

23.01.2022 Further report from the 27th of October, I really do know the winner of the Ararat cup now. Wish I`d backed it, oh well, I do know who the winners were, they were the people who came to Ararat for the weekend, beautiful weather, friendly people, great day, who could wish for anything more? Ararat, come and check us out, you`ll be glad you did.

20.01.2022 Their is a new Gallery in Ararat. Quality Arts & Crafts & unique gifts, made by local talented people are available. Its so good I haven`t been game to tell the Missus about it cos she`s got a credit card! Its only open Fri, Sat & Sundays, 10.30 - 5.00p.m. It`s in Barkly St, right opposite the Town Hall. 17.01.2022 I`ve stated previously to many friends what a great go ahead town Ararat is. Something to back up my beliefs just happened recently. One of the ( now all busy ) Real Estate Agents in town has sold an Investment property to a private Melbourne investor for a building in the centre of town that had an asking price of $1.75 million just for the rental & capital gain he expects to receive over the long term. If that`s not confidence in our town I don`t know what is! I know a lot of ENTIRE Towns in Vic you could buy for $1.75 mill let alone one building.

17.01.2022 Wow, 120 people did the Aradale Ghost tour at the old "Lunatic Asylum" the weekend before last. Fantastic for Ararat as a lot of these people are staying over night somewhere in town & having breakfast and/or lunch the next day as well as a walk through the shopping centre. And of course the evening meal on the night of the tour. And the feed back has been so positive, without exception, they all love it!

12.01.2022 Come to Ararat this week if you can. The Golden Gateway festival is starting NOW. Their are so many shows & Exhibitions on you will need a Month to fit everything in. The Quilters exhibition at Gum San, the Orchid festival, the Ararat show, the walks over Mount Langhi Ghiran ( with BBQ breakfast), entertainment at the Alexander gardens, classic car shows, & that`s only 10% of it. Also, the China plate ( the Ararat Cup ) horse racing is on soon too! Get here if you can for a great time.

09.01.2022 Ararat Theatre Company`s end of year show, "Under the Big Top", after wowing audiences around the area will be having its Grand Finale tour on friday the 25th & Sat 26th of this month at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre. 07.01.2022 Cilla & I have noticed the increasing number of Chinese Delegations that have been visiting Ararat in recent times, at least four in the last Month or so & congratulate the Council in encouraging them to stay overnight, helping the accommodation providers & the restaurants & local shops etc. Well done to Clive , Henry, Gwenda, and all the other contributors on the Council & also Heather Ahpee for organising some of the evening meals.

03.01.2022 Great news for our area & the travellers / holidaymakers coming here as well. Most of the popular Grampians sites badly damaged by the storms & floods earlier this year have re-opened, just in time for these school hols & also for Christmas. Sites re-opened include Mackenzie falls & the walks to the Pinnacles & Sundial lookouts. In the words of Molly, "do yourself a favour". The Grampians (Gariwerd) and Ararat are beautiful places to holiday especially at this time of year.
