25.01.2022 Ararat Fire Brigade who last year celebrated 160 years, is now looking to the future of serving their local community from a brand new station located on Tuson ...Street. The new station has a four-bay drive-through motor room, larger meeting room, office, local command facility, kitchen, rear storage shed, full concrete rear yard and pergola area. While an official opening is off the cards at the moment, they will be planning an event for later in the year. Ararat Fire Brigade

24.01.2022 ****COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT**** Tonight at 5:40pm, some CFA brigades across the state will be sounding their fire alarm for four cycles in memory of the four fallen Victoria Police Officers who tragically lost their lives last week. We do ask that you please help us make your friends and family aware of this event and not to be alarmed when you hear the siren.... #EmergencyServiceFamily #VictoriaPolice #CFA

22.01.2022 In the past 3 days we have attended multiple hoax calls in Ararat. This takes away emergency services resources that are tied up in the call, as well as our volunteers time, reducing our ability to respond to real emergencies. This is something we do not tolerate and we are very disappointed this is happening. Please note the following.... In circumstances where a person calls 000 with the intention of inducing a false belief that an emergency exists (aka, a ‘hoax call’), the person may be charged with a criminal offence, for which the penalties can include imprisonment of up to three (3) years.

15.01.2022 Remembering our fallen Police Officers by 1 blast of the siren for each member. Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor Senior Constable Kevin King Constable Josh Prestney Constable Glen Humphris

12.01.2022 After our old bell was hidden away on our pre-existing tower, we got the bell restored and a pole fabricated thanks to Gasons for your kind donation.

11.01.2022 Due to Covid-19, the Brigade has restrictions limiting numbers, social distancing and all training must be undertaken outside. Thanks to the initiative of one of our members who works a Bunnings, the question was asked and Bunnings who has support initiatives of community groups, provided us with a patio heater so our members can now keep warm on those cold frosty training nights. A very big thank you to Bunnings for their support

02.01.2022 Ararat Fire Brigade has had word from the North Pole that Santa is coming to visit Ararat this year and is taking a ride on one of our Fire Trucks.....things may be a bit different this year, but Santa is really eager to come and wish everyone a Merry Christmas - please keep an eye on our Facebook page for further updates.

02.01.2022 The time has come, we are heading home... Please note that as of Wednesday 15th of April 2020, the Ararat Fire Brigade will be operating out of its newly built Fire Station in Tuson Street. With great care and under the guidance and direction of the CFA, the Ararat Fire Brigade has managed to move enough equipment to the new Fire Station from their temporary station to allow the brigade to commence operations out of this new building. ... Although to some, it may not be seen as necessary to move during these current times, the CFA were keen to see the brigade operating from the new station; it is a larger premises than the current temporary location, allowing for the necessary Brigade operations to be undertaken with the virus protocols in mind.
