13.01.2022 For those of you who were at Lior's performance at the Ararat Town Hall last year, he is performing in a free live stream tonight (Weds 15 April) from 7pm as the first gig in Monash University's Sound Gallery Sessions. Lior will perform with one of Australia’s most distinguished pianists and composers Paul Grabowsky with the pair reinventing some of Lior’s most cherished songs whilst bringing their own individual voices to the performance. Stay tuned afterwards for a Q&A where you can submit questions and hear from these two extraordinary artists. Click on the link below to access the live stream from 7pm tonight, and check out the other gigs on the list.

11.01.2022 Another little taste of what Ararat Primary School 800 and Marian College students got up to when they attended the Impro Melbourne show Improvoganza at the Town Hall on Tuesday. This short video shows Marian College student Regan taking part in an improvisation scene with Katherine and Amy from Impro Melbourne, who came to Ararat thanks to Regional Arts Victoria's education program. Thank you so much for coming! Check out the post from yesterday for photos of the shennanigan...s - it was soooo much fun! #impromelbourne #RAV #theatre #impro #improvisation #ararat #aroundararat #mariancollege #araratprimaryschool

11.01.2022 If you run a community venue and are not sure how to go about re-opening, a free webinar next Thursday through Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) might be just what you need. Following the release of Victorian Association of Performing Art Centre’s Safe Guide to Reopening Performing Arts Venues, RAV has invited Ross Farnell (Consultant) and Jenny Ryssenbeek (VAPAC Executive Director) to walk through reopening from a community-run venue perspective from 12-1pm on Thursday 25 June. T...he session will focus specifically on regional Victorian volunteer-run performing arts venues such as community halls. RAV recommends scanning VAPAC’s guidelines and Creative Victoria’s checklists (see link below) ahead of the session. Volunteering Victoria also has some useful COVID-19 resources here https://bit.ly/2N3vtjH. To attend the webinar, RSVP via email to [email protected] so that RAV can provide further details.
