10.01.2022 The Occupational Therapy team at CPEC presents a series of online workshops aimed at supporting therapists, parents, carers, support workers and education staff working with children who have physical disabilities. The knowledge you will learn will be practical, applicable and will always consider what is required for the child to have successful long term outcomes. Each workshop in the series costs $52.19 and is presented online via Zoom. Numbers are limited so book early! ...The first workshop in this series, SENSORY PROCESSING, is on the 27TH August 2020 from 4pm-6pm. This workshop provides information about what sensory processing is, including the four sensory domains, sensory seeking and avoiding behaviours and why they occur. It will explore the impact of sensory processing on communication and on access to communication for children with complex communication needs, and strategies to support children and families to manage their sensory needs within daily life.
