16.01.2022 Since I joined Arbonne, the pressure to read books to increase my Personal Development has been massive, cause I'm just not a reader. God, it took me 9 years to read The Power of One! I did love reading once, a long long time ago, before children. I encourage my boys to read, and thank God they love it, but I just don't do it myself. To go up in this company, or any company, Personal Development is key to getting to the top. Believing in your vision, believing in yourself ...is key, which for most people, comes from PD. None of the leaders in this biz did it without PD, and that weighed heavily on me. I am type A personality, which means for me that my mind doesn't stop thinking, I am (most times) able to do more than one thing at a time, so being on my phone whilst watching TV, whilst the boys are talking to me are the norm for me, so to sit down with a book makes me feel so uneasy, bored, lazy even. I don't find it relaxing AT ALL, which meant that my PD went by the wayside. Until now that is. Thank God for Audible! I am excited to read, well to listen in my case. To be able to converse with my friends and colleagues about a book, is what I've been missing. The golden nuggets of wisdom, the advice that I feel that they are speaking directly to me, the things that I've been doing my whole life that are either affirmed or not. I'm able to retain so much more from listening. I go to the exact place that they're at as they tell their story. I'm present, I'm transformed to feel what they feel, to what they want me to feel. I am halfway through "Can't Hurt Me" and I am loving it. Maybe it's the military talk that I do so miss, or that I understand the mental toughness that comes from being in the Military and being a Military wife, or that I understand all too well the pain caused by Military service and pushing yourself to be better and to just hang in there. Even the swearing makes me feel like I did when I was in. I miss it, everyday. This book makes me feel normal. 15.01.2022 I first started using the incredible RE9 Advance Anti Aging range over 4years ago. It was the start of selfies, and I thought that I looked good. I've been lucky, I've always looked younger than I actually was, so I was just flying by on that. My skincare routine was to scrub the crap out of my skin with an exfoliator in the shower & then to smother my face with a tinted BB cream. I tried every eye cream there was, I spent a fortune trying to find one that worked, & wasted s...o much money, cause I couldn't find one, not in Woollies or the Chemist's anyway. 13.01.2022 Omg, not having a Gluten intolerance nor am I or my family Coeliac, I had no freakin idea that Vegemite had Gluten in it. I knew that it was a yeast product, but had never made the connection of it containing Gluten, but then again, I've never had to. So in saying this, did you know that skincare contains Gluten?... Our skin is our largest organ, and so when we cover and smother it with Gluten filled products, for those with intolerances, this can be what's prohibiting you from getting better. 07.01.2022 The eyes are the windows to our souls, and our eyes can tell a thousand words. When we are tired, happy, in pain, in love, sad, excited, angry, sick etc, our eyes are the first place to be affected. I have struggled with hereditary deep dark eye bags ALL my life.
