25.01.2022 Congratulations to our newest Arcadian lifesavers who just gained their Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion and our now volunteer patrolling members; Duke, Jaspa, Ava, Nic, Finn, Aliyah, Max and Ned. Well done all, we look forward to seeing you on the beach this season! A very big thank you to the trainers and helpers on the course, we appreciate you giving up a week of your time to train our kids. And thanks to North Barrier Branch Surf Life Saving for putting on the Camp, and Ayr SLSC for hosting this year.

25.01.2022 Thanks Townsville Bulletin for the great story and pics of a couple of our little Nippers in today’s paper. We have been very fortunate to see a fantastic increase in our Junior and Senior members this season, and we’re grateful to all our members, sponsors and friends for their continued support over the last year. We only have a couple more sessions of our current Nippers season left but if you’re interested in enrolling your kids in a fun, friendly and educational activity in 2021 we will be starting up again in August. Keep an eye on this page for further details in July. #arcadianslsc #arcadiannippers #thisislifesaving #lifesaversintraining #divinginto2021

23.01.2022 I spy Arcadian nipper Ned Smith in today’s Townsville Bulletin! Ned, along with other Arcadians and teens from the rest of the North Barrier Branch clubs, are this week attending a camp at Ayr Surf Lifesaving Club where they will earn their Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion, depending on their age. Once they have their SRC or BM they will become volunteer lifesavers, patrolling the beaches in our local communities on the weekends and public holidays. Way to go kids! #arcadianslsc #arcadiannippers #newlifesavers #protectingourbeaches #communityservicefirst

13.01.2022 Crazy wind yesterday saw our mainland Nipper coaches having to come up with some different activities, and what a great job they did! ‘Lifesaver Linda’, aka ‘Nurse Linda’ (also known as our Youth & Cadet Development Officer and Officials Co-ordinator Linda Murray) gave our littlest lifesavers-in-training a fun and engaging lesson in marine stingers and basic first aid for stinger injuries. And while the awesome big kids braved the messy ocean to do their competition profi...ciency tests, the little big kids did some swim training in the Rockpool. Thanks to all our hard working Nippers for being such great sports yesterday and rolling with the changes, you all were fantastic! And to our wonderful Nipper families for putting up with the awful conditions and sticking with us, THANK YOU!! We’re looking forward to a better day next Saturday #arcadiannippers #blueandgoldstrong #arcadianfamily #lifesaversintraining #communityservicefirst See more
