23.01.2022 A fantastic farewell to 2020 as residents at Arcare Oatlands took a scenic stroll around Auburn Botanic Gardens As they sat down to enjoy their picnic by the lagoon, they also did some bird and fish watching around the pond "The trip was absolutely wonderful; it feels great to get out and explore, and breathe in the fresh air at the beautiful gardens, Alexandra said.... Our resident Renata embraced the natural beauty of our city and did her best to soak it all in, in so she could write about it in her journal as soon as she returned to the residence

20.01.2022 A feast resulted over at Arcare Templestowe, where a cookoff tested the skills of Kerryn (Lifestyle Coordinator) and Josh (Chef). 08.01.2022 To remember the residents who were part of our Arcare Parkwood community, we decided to honour them on our #MemoryTree. We sat down with Pauline as she shared with us her fondest memories of her partner Michael and Pauline first met on a blind date at a casino, arranged by Pauline’s friend. ‘I never wanted to go but my friend insisted that I go see this man. We had a meal and ended up talking for hours,’ Pauline said.... ‘My first impression of Michael was that he was a bit grumpy and stubborn. But I soon found out that he was loyal, very fun to be around with and he had a good sense of humour.’ One particular highlight of their travels was driving up to Noosa and attending the Jazz Festival where they danced with friends and met many interesting people ‘During his last few moments here, the staff really took great care of him; they treated him just like family,’ she shared. ‘The hardest part is missing someone who loved you; Michael was always there to support me and he cared for me in a way no one could,’ ‘But I’m glad that I had this opportunity to look at our old photos again and look back on the wonderful life I shared with him,’ Pauline said Through our Memory Tree, we hope to remember our wonderful friends and family, and to cherish the #preciousmemories we shared with them. https://loom.ly/efLJkZI
