23.01.2022 Sisters Alice and Iris have reunited together at Arcare Carnegie's 5-star residence this month, when Iris officially moved into the residence that Alice has been living at for years. Iris wouldn’t consider moving anywhere else after witnessing the relationships Alice has made. 21.01.2022 #PeopleofArcare: This week we sit with Mila Krejci, Personal Care Worker at Arcare Cheltenham- team member with over 19 years of experience at Arcare Aged Care. Along with providing 5 star care, Mila volunteers on the weekends to run a creative art class for the residents. Mila receives a lot of positive feedback from this activity from both budding and experienced resident artists. One resident attends just to observe and listen to the music and has shared that "Coming her...e is like entering a sanctuary". When asked about her time at Arcare, Mila states: "Above all, I like the opportunity to lift people’s spirits. Moving to aged care can be a difficult transition. I cherish being able to bring an uplifting presence, empathy, touch, bring awareness of their significance and experience, and make residents smile at Arcare". 08.01.2022 Savka from Arcare Oatlands recently celebrated her 80th birthday. As her family were unable to celebrate in person with her, they sent in a delicious cake for Savka to share. Arcare Oatlands made Savka feel special during the celebration and shared photos of the celebration with her daughter Angela. Angela was touched and wrote to the team "Thank you for making my mum feel special on her 80th birthday, especially during these unprecedented times. The photos are beautiful- she looks extremely happy. We are forever grateful and privileged to be part of an organisation that cares about our family members.
