23.01.2022 For this weekend's two minute homily the Noosa District parish's Fr Jason Middleton reflects on the parable of the Bridesmaids, some well set, others having to scrounge for oil at the last minute: "The point of difference between the foolish and the wise is intentionality and preparedness...In this life many of us have been blessed with the opportunity to be set on fire with God’s love by the power of the Holy Spirit. However, the lamps of our faith and belief only receive sufficient oil for that time when the flame burns fresh and bright. This therefore needs constant attention to maintain the flame." 14.01.2022 The Vatican News has announced that Holy Land Franciscans will be offering a virtual Way of the Cross for pilgrims during Lent as the Holy Land is not accessible due to COVID-19. The first video was released by the Custodia Terræ Sanctæ's social media on February 17, and 11 more videos will be posted each Tuesday and Friday until March 30, the Tuesday of Holy Week. Bishop Robert McGuckin from Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba joined a special Mass of Institution, where five of the men were instituted to the Ministry of Lector and four were instituted to the Ministry of Acolyte. Lets keep these men in our prayers as they continue their discernment to Priesthood.

The first candle, which is violet, symbolises hope. Did you know that it is also known as the Prophecy candle in remembrance of the prophets who foretold the birth of Jesus.
