22.01.2022 The best thing about 2020's BNE IPA is the charity it's for, LIVIN. The Brisbane beer scene has always been inclusive, and as we brewed the BNE IPA and picked hops together (but socially distanced), we all got to see each other again, and ask the important questions about how we were all doing. It was a timely reminder from LIVIN to ask those questions, and make sure during this difficult time we were all aware that we were always there for a chat. However some of these photos might show it was also a timely reminder for us to drink some beer together too...

13.01.2022 BNEIPA is back! With all the madness going on lately we at Archer Brewing wanted to do something to help the community in the best way we know how - with beer! We decided to use 2020s BNE IPA to donate money to the mental health awareness group LIVIN . 22 independent Brisbane breweries jumped onboard with the collaboration brew, and we set about roping in some local suppliers. After a number of calls, 7 eager local companies were up for it, so we got brewing. This years BNE... is a not for profit Bright New England IPA using Brisbane grown hops, Queensland yeast and nearly all Queensland malt(but definitely all Australian), made by local independent Brisbane breweries, and supported by local companies. We will be donating all proceeds to the Queensland mental health awareness group LIVIN because now is the time to look after your mental health. So what does all this mean? Well, for starters, 2020s BNE IPA is in tank right now, and, in a few weeks youll be able to buy the first ever canned BNEIPA with all the money you pay for it (excluding tax) going directly to LIVIN to help spread the message, it aint weak to speak. Once its packaged, grab a couple of cans, share it with a mate, and kickstart a conversation about your mental well being. BNE IPA will be out next week, and we'll update you with more info on stockists this coming week.

We value all the companies and breweries that agreed to help us create the BNE IPA, it wouldnt have been possible without everyone getting involved, but none more so than Craft Punks Canning. Craft Punks were one of the earlier companies we got on board, and without them it probably wouldnt have been possible, so we need to send them a huge shout out for their time and donations to the cause. When we thought up the concept of a not-for-profit BNEIPA this year, it was a no brainer to reach out to a mental health organization as the chosen charity and we were so happy LIVIN came on board. Today reminds us to ask those questions again. The BNEIPA was about cracking a beer with someone and having a chat, checking in, and asking R U OK? ... What made the process of BNEIPA so great wasnt just the result but the fact we as an industry in Brisbane got a chance to catch up on brew day. Restrictions had closed most venues temporarily, some permanently, and it was good for us to all get together and ask R U OK? We had some beers, brewed a beer and had that chat together. Now its time for you to ask that question, R U OK? In the words of LIVIN: It Aint Weak To Speak.
