Fellow bowhunter Matt and myself have been out getting amongst the feral goats while another local bowhunter was able to take a coupe of ugly looking pigs with a 2 two for the price of one. 25.01.2022 Hi Guys and Girls, I have a spare Little Jon String Jig for sale, $340 firm. This jig has been in storage and has a little surface rust as a result. If you don't know anything about Little Jon jigs there are one of the best around and have been widely copied. This jig comes with tools and instructions. I can obtain a quote on postage if needed, all up weight is 6.8kgs. There is also a 2 metre length of Uni Strut to go with the jig. 11.01.2022 Release Probably the hardest thing to achieve an unanticipated release will boost your accuracy like nothing else, especially at extended distances.Again,... as you move farther from a target, mistakes in form are magnified. Jerking and punching at the trigger may only cause you to miss the mark by a few inches at 30 yards, but step back to 80 yards and you will easily miss a large 1616 target. So what does the perfect release look like? You must condition yourself to make the best shot possible no matter how far you are from the target. You must develop a disconnect between your aiming process and your release process, which means you allow your subconscious mind to draw the pin back to the spot you want to hit. In truth, during the aiming process, this happens multiple times. Index-finger release shooters really need to focus on getting their finger wrapped around the post or trigger and begin pushing the bow toward the target while using muscles in the back to draw the shoulder blades together. This creates the push-and-pull motion that is so heavily talked about and ensures a surprise-type release. A back-tension release is another way to go, as this style of release can’t fire from punching. This forces the shooter to use back-tension to get the release to fire, thus ensuring a surprise release every time. However, I only recommend this style of release for bowhunters who feel extremely comfortable with them and have spent a lot of time practicing with them. When shooting long distance, you really have time to soak the shot in before the arrow impacts the target. It’s natural to want to drop the bow out of the way immediately after the shot or jerk your head to the left or to the right to better track the arrow. Resist this urge.It takes lots of practice, but upon the release of your arrow you need to keep aiming until the arrow actually impacts the target. If possible, hold the bow up and try to keep the sight picture the same.

09.01.2022 I have been looking for a while now for a new bow for my partner. Sarah has a 28.5 long draw length which takes a lot of the lady bows out of the picture, plus I wanted it light weight and a reasonable axle to axle length. I was left with the Elite Enlist but the lightest draw weight it came in was 50-60lbs and choice of colours was very limited, camo or ninja. So a rebuild was on the cards. This bow started out as a 70lbs Elite Enlist in the Ninja finish. I ordered a se...t of 220 Deflection 13 limbs and made a string and cable set in pink & purple. I fitted the QAD LD rest and the Spot Hogg Real Deal 5 pin sight, a set of purple cat’s whiskers. So Sarah now has a light weight bow, a reasonable axle to axle length in her draw length. Maximum poundage is 45lbs and I have set it at 36lbs for a comfortable shooting bow, with a bit of bling, more bling to come. See more

07.01.2022 Archery Addiction is taking pre-orders for the Garmin Xero Model A1 and Model A1i, auto ranging digital laser bow sights. Specs are a little light on at the moment but so far I can tell you the following: Models A1 & A1i have the following features: LED pins/dots. A ranging dot gets your shooting distance and then sets a shooting pin for that distance.... Silent grip mounted trigger to activate the rangefinder. Angle compensated distances ranged out to 91 metres (100yrds) on animals and 275 metres (300yards) on reflective targets. LED window display showing the archer shooting information. Sight can be calibrated for single or multi dots on the bow sight screen. Auto pin brightness adjusted to light conditions. Allows distance ranging at full draw. Operates on AAA lithium batteries. (Not sure if they are included) Run time approx. 100 hours Available in both right and left handed. Water rated to IPZ72 (See Garmin website for rating definition) Adjustable got metres or yards. Mounting hardware included. Model A1i have these additional features: Laser location feature estimates your arrow point of impact/hunter location (GPS) and can transfer this information to a compatible Garmin GPS device for game recovery. 06.01.2022 I sold Steve his 1st Elite bow many years ago and and he's been a great long time great customer of Archery Addiction ever since. Steve has been hooked on bowhunting ever since. He hunts farm land where the farmers are having problems with pigs and their crops. He mainly hunts at night when the BIG pigs come out. Here are a few of those hogs. The hog hanging came to 119kgs live weight. Steve currently hunts with an 80lbs bow, Widowmaker Smash 250 arrows and a variety of broadheads.

04.01.2022 ELITE ECHELON 37 AT ARCHERY ADDICTION. I've had a sample of the Echelon 37 here for and few weeks and it was only yesterday that I was able to shoot it. 1st impression, a very smooth drawing bow that sits well in my hand which felt easier to draw than my Energy 35 (both are 60lbs). At full draw the bow was not top heavy and was very steady, it's a well balanced bow for target shooting. The Echelon 37 actually feels lighter in mass weight than it is. This is due to the wa...y the weight has been distributed through out the bow. At the shot there was no movement in my hand with a relaxed grip that I use. As you can see in the images the cable guard is adjustable and each bow comes with different size draw stop pegs for letoff adjustment. The Echelon 37 is a very stable platform and should be a good target bow. Axle to axle: 37 1/8" Brace: 6 3/4" Draw Weights: 40-50lbs, 50-60lbs & 60-70lbs. Draw Lengths: Module Adjusted: 26.5"-31". 03.01.2022 Local bowhunter Leon was out the other night for a spot of hunting. Leon is using his Elite Synergy set on 80lbs, Deer Crossing SD Hunters arrows and 125gn Artemis Penetrator broadheads. These large pigs, approx 80kgs were shot through the shoulder pad taking both animals cleanly. Great work.
