25.01.2022 So why was it floating around our car park?

24.01.2022 On it's way out... one lost arrow, but one less cat, esp in this spot ... it's always been considered the bird sanctuary by my farmer pal...

22.01.2022 Nod to you Ben, top job for getting the first ever Aust Slam in one recording year. This is the first time anyone has done this in a single year. And it's all the cooler that you did it, esp being a WA lad. Few bowhunters get over the line in a lifetime and it's a feat that will probably not be matched. The Aust Slam is successfully recording all Aust huntable feral species - from hare to all the recordable fish species, buffalo to all the deer species and everything in between. All that effort and commitment, top effort...

20.01.2022 Hi Gang, I hope everyone is well. Tomorrow our shopfront will be closed to the public until further notice. There will now be no face to face contact except by appointment only. ... Also note, Saturday Trading will now cease until further notice. We are still operating and are busier than ever but in these interesting times Archery Essentials has had to change the way we look after you. Online orders of course are a great option, but way better still, give us a call. Workshop jobs, bow fitting will still be done instore, but like lot of things now, they will all start with a phone call or an email. We're all in this together, so let's make it hard for this virus by following the social distancing plan and keep our friends and family safe, :) Mike

20.01.2022 Dean is one of our NZ customers - so this is his back yard...

19.01.2022 The QAD and Mathews IMX rest, I like the Left & Right blade adjustment...

19.01.2022 Hi Gang, Tuesday 24th is our last day open for 2019. We're back on Monday 13th Jan from our end of year holidays. The bow workshop queue is getting long, so please get in contact now if you need any work done on your bow before Christmas... time is a ticking :)

17.01.2022 Header fire - worst thing that can happen when big coin and time have been spent getting a crop to harvest... and now the farmer's down a $800K machine and all the dramalama that goes with that... a friend sent a Mail drop video link that's a pain to download to FB (sorry), but you get the idea of the carnage in this image - hers was an electrical fire that she only saw the 'glow' of behind the cab as she cropped into the dark. Being canola - it didn't catch and spread - a tense 800m run to a two-way in a ute for a call for help though...

17.01.2022 POC shavings, like mowed grass, or burnt blackboys, sweetest smell...

16.01.2022 This feral cat caught me off guard a little, so it's a poor photo....

15.01.2022 Craig's work is a guilty please of mine and he's a WA talent, see... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmCkcCtmrBu5CfFi8LFFcVA Happy Australia Day!

13.01.2022 Goaties getting one of these nearly every week...

13.01.2022 On old campaigner of a pig falling to Luke's Bow. They don't do it tough so much, but when they're in their last year, they start to go backwards in condition...

13.01.2022 Dry seeding, the dryness out in our farm country is quite something...

13.01.2022 Mums are so cool!

12.01.2022 Until I picked at it, this serving looked not too shabby on Maxi's bow... yet his nock grip was poor. D-loop and serving is always worth looking at when you check over your bow - in this case the serving was worn right through...

11.01.2022 We'll be closed this Monday for Australia Day. Will be open Saturday 9am to noon, like normal...

11.01.2022 Gotta love bear trad bows...

11.01.2022 Winter...apparently...

10.01.2022 Not many camo Inf Edges available, plenty of blacks though ... and two weeks ago there were no blacks!!

10.01.2022 Also way cool...

09.01.2022 He might be small...

08.01.2022 Hi Gang, What do Labradors dream about? In the shop though, we're finally starting to get back to "normal" now, if that's the right word. Stock levels are starting to settle down. We're still expecting stock gaps up to Xmas. The archery company's are doing their best, but dealers around the world are gobbling up stock faster than they can release it, so there'll be be gaps...

08.01.2022 It think it'll be a few weeks before these bows land in the store, but if they sell anything like VXR did this year, they'll be hot potatoes..

08.01.2022 Sometimes you just have to take a photo to get the cables threading the right way...

08.01.2022 50yr old recurve, in beautiful condition... interesting how riser design has evolved. This bow shoots sweet as and is dead quiet...

06.01.2022 Fox #3 for the morning....

06.01.2022 These rollers are proving popular - quicken up your bow a bit - the added benefit (more importantly?) - they stop the cable guard slide wearing out your cables...

06.01.2022 Stone limbs on a black riser...

05.01.2022 Stubble burning before dry seeding - it has sharper smell than bush smoke...

03.01.2022 Dug this up planting a tree - I stopped shooting Blackstumps I reckon 25yrs ago, so I guess we're looking at 25yrs of rust...

03.01.2022 Crissa's performance gear was stolen and Fringe starts Thursday and she's one of the show's headline acts. Pretty miserable way to be welcomed as a visitor to WA. You never know, her gear may turn up, I've got her contact details...
