24.01.2022 If you've ever grown luffa you will have noticed the ants LOVE it and perhaps have wondered why. Well it turns out underneath the leaves there are what's called 'extrafloral nectaries' which is basically anywhere a plant creates nectar that isn't on the flower. This nectar attracts the ants who then work as polinators and protectors for the plant. @ Imbil, Queensland
