25.01.2022 As you are probably aware, we are very involved with the Australian Institute of Architects and are particularly invested in the promotion of good regional architecture. In support of this we have entered 2 projects in the Country Division awards this year (Byron Shire Council foyer and two@twoseventwo at Coopers Shoot) and there is a People’s Choice award for the public to vote for up to 3 of their favourite projects. An important part of the Country Division awards system i...s to publicise the best of regional architecture to the broader community and to advocate for the use of regional architects. It would be great to encourage community engagement and get as many people voting for this award as possible. We’d love it if you would take a few moments to cast your vote and pass on the link to anyone you know who might be interested in seeing the entries and voting: https://nationalarchitecture.awardsplatform.com///gyLPYXyZ And if you do decide to vote for one of our projects, thank you.

22.01.2022 Flashback Friday
22.01.2022 Whilst we enjoy creating spaces that are the centre of activity we also love smaller, quieter spaces to retreat to. This is a bit of a favourite, the roof garden in our newly completed house in Suffolk Park. The gentle evening light makes it a great place to sit and ponder.
21.01.2022 Sarah was jury chair for the NSW Australian Institute of Architects NSW Country Division awards this year. The People's Choice award is open for you to have your say. You get 3 votes across all the categories. There are some great projects, so go online and cast your vote https://nationalarchitecture.awardsplatform.com///BGkaYEqZ

09.01.2022 Power outage at the studio = good time for a site visit. Loving the charred timber cladding
08.01.2022 Sad to hear of the passing of Kerry Hill, truly a great of the architecture scene. Photo taken in the state theatre, Perth at the 2014 National conference
08.01.2022 We hope all our clients, colleagues and friends are staying safe and finding a way to navigate these new circumstances. Here at SPACEstudio we are physical distancing and remote working to make sure the studio stays active and viable. Our recently completed project Sea Barn is now occupied by clients, self isolating in their new home. Thanks to Andy Macpherson for the image and to Todd Knaus for the construction.
06.01.2022 Expressed portal frames allow a generous connection between the living room, garden and adjacent sand dunes. The robust materials mean the kids can enjoy the pool, garden and beach without compromise @andymacphersonstudio @mrb_constructions
06.01.2022 The Country Division awards were announced last week at the Collaborate conference in Coffs Harbour.
