23.01.2022 Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay! This year’s World Mental Health Day, on 10 October, comes at a time when our daily lives have changed considerably as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The past months have brought many challenges: for health-care workers, providing care in difficult circumstances, going to work fearful of bringing COVID-19 home with them; for students, adapting to taking classes from home, with little contact with teachers and friends, and anxious about the...ir futures; for workers whose livelihoods are threatened; for the vast number of people caught in poverty or in fragile humanitarian settings with extremely limited protection from COVID-19; and for people with mental health conditions, many experiencing even greater social isolation than before. And this is to say nothing of managing the grief of losing a loved one, sometimes without being able to say goodbye. Given past experience of emergencies, it is expected that the need for mental health and psychosocial support will substantially increase in the coming months and years. Investment in mental health programmes at the national and international levels, which have already suffered from years of chronic underfunding, is now more important than it has ever been. This is why the goal of this year’s World Mental Health Day campaign is increased investment in mental health! learn more at https://www.who.int//world-me/world-mental-health-day-2020

20.01.2022 We thought seeing as it's International Women's Day today it would be a perfect day to share Emma's finished Baby Owls. Coincidentally Emma chose a purple background for her owls; The National Women's Party suggest wearing purple on International Women's Day since Purple is the color of loyalty, constancy to purpose, unswerving steadfastness to a cause. It is also the color of dignity and self-respect and signifies bipartisanship. #EachforEqual

Mark told the group of his great appreciation of the minute silence, as Australia is how it is today for those who fought and still fight. A very grateful a...nd uplifting talk. 15.01.2022 The message for R U OK?Day 2020 is: 'THERE'S MORE TO SAY AFTER R U OK?' 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life.
