A long, narrow and very steep block with impressive city views inspired the design of a kitchen at a half-level which links the upper and lower levels of the house. 18.01.2022 ‘Frangipani pavilion’ is a alfresco dining/sitting structure that sits separately to the original low set brick house. Instead of attaching a ubiquitous deck, the form doesn’t cast shadow or block precious ventilation in the other living areas of the house. A transparent, covered walkway creates the connection.
