24.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that Catherine Davis, pianist with SSO/ACO/OAO/Australian Ballet/Sydney Conservatorium, is supporting the 2020 Arco Instrumental Online Competition and being one of our official accompanist for the competition, she is offering recorded accompaniments for all competing candidates, all accompaniment will be made to order on her home Steinway with optional audible metronome count-ins as required. Prices $10 for short pieces, $20 for more complex pieces and sonata/concerto movements, fast turnaround. Receipts will be given for all orders. Please contact her at [email protected] OR 0400993428. Also available are recorded accompaniments made to prerecorded video by soloist, prices by negotiation.

19.01.2022 2020 ARCO INSTRUMENTAL ONLINE COMPETITION Hi everyone, due to the epidemic, Arco Instrumenal Online Competition will be extending the due date to 30th June 2020. Since our application opened, we have received numerous videos of outstanding young musicians from all over the world, including the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in the United States, the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and the Sydney Conservatoirum of Music. In order to minimize the impact of the epidemic on this event, so that more amazing young musicians can have the chance to enrol. Applications will be open for the next ten days.

We understand that it can be quite hard practising social distance and self-isolation, but we are sure that it is something that we can all overcome together.... As a way to motivate and encourage all music students around the world during this hard time, we would like to introduce to you the 2020 Arco Instrumental Online Competition. The 2020 Arco Instrumental Online Competition is an excellent performance opportunity for young talented musicians. The competition was established to promote and encourage musical education as well as to celebrate the recognition of young talents. Participants of all ages and from all countries are warmly invited to apply. Arco Instrumental Online Competition strongly believes in growing and supporting music students and through modern technology, our aim is continued in connecting and enriching students with the beauty of music. There are 5 different age group categories of 6 years and under, 7 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years, 13 to 15 years and 16 years to open for violin, piano, cello and 2 age groups of 15 years and under and 16 years to open for viola and double bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, brass and guitar.
