25.01.2022 Just gonna put this here. . In the industry it's customary to share our most embarrassing photos on people's birthdays. For this guy I chose a different approach. This is a man who isn't afraid to embarrass himself. He's not afraid to show flair and he doesn't mind if his vibrancy puts people off because, for the most part, it puts people on. .... What most people don't realise about Jose, and I'm not even sure he truly knows this about himself, is being the clown in the room makes you ten times more approachable. Anyone would be less anxious about approaching any new challenge next to this guy becasue he sets the standard for giving it a go, putting himself out there, leading by example and not afraid to try new things. . He's often modest about it when I say he's a solid role model, that's truly when I see his shy side. . Well prepare to be fucking embarrassed now mate because you're a great leader, a solid community spirit, an awesome daddy, a brilliant friend, a truly unique character with a lot to offer the world and I'm chuffed to call you my friend. 09.01.2022 Attention to detail... . Ok so it's a shit excuse for an obuious gym selfie, but everyone always captures themselves in this mirror and I thought Id give it a try. Only when I do it, I gave the mirror a good clean! . Has anyone ever noticed when people take mirror selfies, the little bits of spit or sweet or smudges on the mirror? I have.... When I was practicing photography, this was the difference between good and GREAT work. I still spot this mishaps in advertising material to this day. Translate this to fitness and I pick up on people moods, how tired they are, changes they've made to their appearance etc. Little things mean the difference between a good coach and a GREAT coach. . I'm not sure it can be taught, I'm sure few people notice who has it and it's probably an undervalued trait, but I'm gad I have it. See more

07.01.2022 Why wait for a squat rack when you can work on your mobility and awkwardly stare at the people on the platforms, making them feel as uncomfortable as possible?



07.01.2022 Coach will be mad I went rogue. I completed my program and added a little bit of play at the end to see what I could come up with. . Not quite a 100kg clean but getting close... 90 will do today.

03.01.2022 High Bar Squat: 140kg . I switched to the low bar setup position, I'm guessing, around 2016. Since then I have thrown in the high bar setup a few times for various reasons, seldum with very heavy loads. Fast forward to this year, with a combination of Fomo and desire to have sexually aggressive quads like @mattwalsh.usc I've been giving the high start a little more attention.... . First, I racked up some serious high rep sets with 100kg on my back. Then, I ventured into new territory with a high bar PB of 130. Here, I set a new PB with my spotter and days later, my quads are still a little tender. See more
