04.01.2022 As of today, those wishing to become a registered SMSF auditor are able to apply for registration with ASIC. It is essential that those wishing to take advantage of the transitional arrangements (grand fathering) must do so before 30 June 2013. After this date all applicants will need to meet the legislative requirements relating to registration. ASIC recommends applicants apply for registration prior to 30 April 2013 to ensure their application is processed by 30 June 2013 t...o enable them to commence auditing from 1 July 2013. ARC Super will be conducting a series of full day exam preparation courses on behalf of the Institute of Public Accountants in May and June. These sessions will take attendees through a series of case studies and mock exam questions designed to both educate applicants on relevant SIS, Accounting and Auditing requirements, and to simulate the exam environment.
