24.01.2022 About Your Next Role Our client is on the hunt for a multi-skilled and self-motivated Leading Hand - Operator to join their Haul Road Maintenance team based at a long-term coal mining project near Middlemount in Central Queensland. You will be on a DIDO (drive-in, drive-out) basis with camp accommodation, plus meals provided to you whilst on-shift. This is a hands-on, multifaceted, salary position, therefore, you can expect job security, training and career progression. Some ...of your responsibilities will include: Input into the road maintenance and build plan. Lead a team to execute the daily plan and ensure delivery of exceptional client service Participate in a lifestyle-friendly 8-days on, 6-days off (day shift) roster 100% personal compliance with the company and client HSEQ systems and operating procedures at all times Safe and efficient operation of the grader, water cart and sweeper on a rotational basis, in adherence with all procedures and instructions provided to you Perform a range of tasks associated with the maintenance, conservation and monitoring of all plant and equipment to ensure it is maintained to a high standard Exhibit appropriate communication and a professional demeanour at all times Complete a range of daily and routine administrative tasks, as required What We Need from You You will be organised, self-motivated and have the ability to lead a small team in a close-knit environment and act as site manager when they are off roster. Other factors that will see you succeed in this role: Mandatory Requirements: Standard 11 Generic Induction Coal Board Medical HR Driver’s Licence You will ideally also have RII/Black Coal Competencies for two (2) or more of the following: Grader Operations Bulk Water Cart Operations Tractor Operations (Operate Support Equipment) The ideal candidate will also have operator experience in mining operations, civil operations or road construction or an associated industry.
