12.01.2022 #COVID19: 650 POLICE, 350 DEFENCE FORCE MEMBERS DEPLOYED TO NSW-VIC BORDER Approximately 650 NSW Police officers are currently heading to the border, with 350 D...efence personnel to also be in place by the weekend to assist in patrolling entries into the state. NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said patrols had been categorised into three levels. The five main arterial roads between NSW and Victoria to have checkpoints will be Wodonga Place and the Hume, Cobb, Sturt and Princes highways. There are also 29 "category B" roads which will also have a full-time police presence. Twenty other dirt tracks will be patrolled through aerial surveillance.
