17.01.2022 Personal Post: Arden, my Miss 2, has been having regular checkups with our local hospital & their paediatricians/outreach nurses since she was born. She was quite unwell at birth & took a long time to catch up with herself after spending time in the Special Care Nursery. So this, mixed with her overall personality/traits/her own self, today she went for the second half to a Bayley Test to gauge her development as we’ve always known she’s been a bit delayed. It wasn’t a huge... shock to find that she was very delayed in speech as she’s basically non-verbal & is delayed across other developmental areas - perhaps even with a learning disability. But I wanted to reach out to see if there were any other Mummas here who have been through this & also what their experiences were with the NDIS as we are now going through them to get additional support.
