24.01.2022 POOLS TO OPEN THIS MONTH | Alpine Shire’s outdoor swimming pools will open to the public later this month. Myrtleford pool will open on 16 November, while Mount... Beauty pool will open on 23 November due to repairs to fix leaks identified late in the off-season. In line with COVID-19 restrictions, at both pools there will be a restriction on the number of people allowed in the facility at one time, capped at 50, including customers in and out of the water. Details of people will also be taken as customers enter the facilities. All children under the age of 10 will need an adult to register their attendance and supervise their swim. Children and young people over the age of 10 who attend without adult supervision will also need to register their attendance. We ask that you adhere with social distancing when in or out of the water, wear face masks when outside the water and use the hand sanitiser provided prior to entry. Because of the volume restrictions in place, the pools will be closed to recreational swimmers during times that they are booked by the swimming clubs and when there are school or other events/bookings. In addition, the weekday morning sessions of the pool will be for exclusive use of the lap swimmers. We have updated our website with the 2020-21 prices and opening hours. 17.01.2022 TWO CRACKPOTS FUNDED TO GET CREATIVE | Mysterious Myrtleford artists, Two Crackpots, are recipients of the first round of the Victorian Government’s Creative Re...covery program. Two Crackpots are Myrtleford’s generously adventurous artists, who gifted the Myrtleford Mosaic Trail to all who visit this special part of our region. Their share of the funding will go towards a mural. The program funds projects that contribute creatively to the social and economic recovery in bushfire-affected regions. The Creative Recovery initiative is part of the Victorian and Commonwealth Government's $86 million Community Recovery Package for bushfire-affected communities announced in January. It is being delivered by Regional Arts Victoria in partnership with Bushfire Recovery Victoria, Regional Development Victoria, and Creative Victoria. For full program details, visit rav.net.au.

08.01.2022 The majority of roads and tracks in our state forests and parks will re-open across north east Victoria from today (Thursday, 29 October). Together with Parks... Victoria, each year we implement seasonal road closures during winter and spring to limit the risks to drivers and damage to our forest roads. Some bushfire affected tracks and roads in the Upper Murray and Ovens fire districts will remain closed due to the risk to the public. During the coming months, our crews and contractors will assess these areas and will complete road repairs and hazardous tree works so they can be reopened to the public once they are safe. For a full list of tracks and road which re-open from Thursday, 29 October, visit: www.parks.vic.gov.au//safety-in-nat/seasonal-road-closures You can also contact your local DELWP office by calling 136 186, or Parks Victoria on 13 1963 Four Wheel Drive Victoria Camping Victoria Bushwalking Victoria Forest Fire Management Victoria
