24.01.2022 UPDATE: As of the 25th of March we will be having restricted visiting times for both the Hospital and Aged Care. Only immediate family or substitute other who is known the facility can visit. Visiting hours are 10 am - 11 am and 2 pm - 3 pm.... Visits outside these times will need to be discussed with nursing staff and please do not be offended if you are refused entry. Accident and Emergency is still open, however if you have any flu like symptoms you must ring the hospital before entering. We are suggesting if you have any Corona questions the hotline is the best place for information 1800 020 080. Stay safe - wash your hands at any opportunity. Jodie x

19.01.2022 Apologies if this effects your family but we are putting the following restrictions in for the Easter Period and maybe thereafter: All visitors to the facility will be asked several questions and have your temperature taken. Please do not be offended if you are refused entry - we are protecting people that live and work in our home.... Dinham Wing: Only people that have visited the facility in the past 2 weeks can visit over Easter. Only immediate family members can visit - and no children 16 and under. Visiting hours will still be from 10 -11 am and 2 3 pm and still restricted to 1 visitor per time. You must do social distancing and can only see the person in their rooms ACUTE: Visiting times as above, however your visitors must only come from the same house hold and must be identified as your support person. You are also restricted to 1 visitor at a time. If this does get abused by any person it will force us to go into total lock down. I am sorry but if we all do the right thing we will not only slow the curve but kick the curve from our existence. Take care Jodie & Team

15.01.2022 COVID 19 update: Just to let you all know that we will be taking residents out on the bus. We are only having 6 people in the bus at any time (14 seater bus). They will not be getting out of the bus, this will help with their emotional well being. We are also asking if you are wanting something to do - the residents would love to receive a hand written letter. You don't need to address a specific person, we will just make sure that everyone will get a letter. If children wan...t draw pictures this will be fantastic - lets start Pen Pals again. Thanks ACH

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Not sure if you have caught up on the news regarding lock down restrictions , which are easing as of Midnight tomorrow night. From viewing the press conference at 12pm today it is evident that that SA Health and the police are still deciding on the plan. Therefore being a weekend we will remain in lock down Saturday & Sunday and I will assess and make changes Monday Morning. I apologise if this doesn't sound fair, but when the department are still unsure I need to be confident of the changes that we make here are the right ones. Jx

04.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: Hi everyone, you all should be aware of the outbreak of COVID in SA in the past 24hrs. It is a time not to panic but to be vigilant. As a facility we have decided to go back into restricted visiting hours daily 2-4pm and only nominated family/friends (up to 2 ) can visit, this includes acute services. If you have been to any of the areas stated by SA Health website - Parafield Cluster COVID 19 tracing alert, unfortunately you will not be allowed entry. Travelling to Adelaide should be done with caution. If you have any signs and symptoms please stay away and get tested. Maitland is the closest hospital for testing

02.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone from the staff at the Ardrossan Hospital. We want to thank you for your support and patience through what has been the most challenging year in health. In regards to visiting hours - they have now been extended from 11am to 4 pm effective from today. We still need to respect social distancing and only have 2 visitors at time. When visiting aged care, you need to show evidence of your Fluvax and don't forget the QR code check in. ... Anyone from NSW must confirm with nursing staff before you enter and if you have come from any of the hotspots - sorry you will not be allowed entry. Take care everyone, and remember we are here if you need us, also remember that we are sharing the on call doctors with Maitland, so if you need a doctor it will pay to ring before you come in as you may have to go to Maitland. Be safe
