24.01.2022 Following the first Life During COVID-19 survey (May-June 2020), AIFS launched its second Families in Australia Survey, Towards COVID Normal, in November 2020. https://aifs.gov.au//families-australia-survey-towards-cov The new survey will run NovemberDecember 2020. It asks Australians 18 years and over to tell us about how they and their families are going. While we may be heading towards a time that might be described as 'COVID normal', this remains a time of uncertainty ...in which there can be rapid changes in restrictions faced across the country. How has family, social and daily life changed? What challenges do families continue to face? And what support would help right now? How have different aspects of family life continue to be affected by COVID-19, including: relationships with other family members; work; education; finances; and mental health and wellbeing. As a thank you for your time, five randomly selected participants will be offered shopping vouchers valued at $500 each if they opt into the random draw at the conclusion of the survey. The selected participants will be notified by email. See terms and conditions.

01.01.2022 We are strong advocates for offering your child quality play experiences without overwhelming them with an abundance of toys, puzzles and games. Whats more, we... know how you can do this without purchasing loads of toys which may end up in landfill when they still have so much play left in them. A toy library membership allows you to borrow what your child enjoys now and then return it. It doesnt clutter your home when you no longer want it, it simply goes back into circulation for another family to enjoy. Were on Planet A, as the new ABC series calls it, and we can all make a difference for our childrens futures by sharing resources. How good is that? #noplanetb : becoming minimalist
