21.01.2022 IMPORTANT Firstly Area will be open this week and trading as normal So as we are all aware the world is being faced with some challenges and extra precautions due to COVID-19...... Our government has placed a ban on mass gatherings at non essential events over 500 people: What does this mean for our club? Fortunately, due to the size of our venue recent bans will not affect the operation of our club... Area will continue to run as normal every Friday night. PLEASE NOTE If you are feeling unwell, please stay home to minimize the risk of making yourself worse or potentially spreading whatever it is you have. Secondly, please take extra sanitary precautions, make sure you wash your hands, and only kiss each other if it's completely necessary and consentual of course We will take extra steps to make sure sanitizer is available at our venue for use for all patrons. What is happening in our country right now is serious, but it isnt a cause for panic and hysteria... These precautions and measures are being rightly put in place to protect the most vulnerable members of our society from this illness and its important to remember that... Look after yourselves but please think of those around you who are more at risk. Now is a time for selflessness not selfishness. We are dedicated to being able to keep bringing you Area, as per usual, every Friday night, for as long as we are able. The entertainment industry is suffering already because of everything going on. 19.01.2022 To our loyal patrons, staff and DJs, Today to combat the growing threat of the COVID-19 virus, the Victorian Government has activated a stage 1 lockdown on the state; closing down a large number of entertainment venues, including restaurants, bars and nightclubs. What does this mean for us?... It means, while our country deals with this crisis we will be taking a break. But we arent worried or stressed. During this time we will be working to improve our product and secure the long term future of our club. We will come back, like all your other favourite nights and venues bigger, and better from this. We want to stress the importance to everyone on remaining calm and keeping positive during this time. Practice social distancing, good hygiene, follow government advice and hopefully we will be seeing you all again sooner rather then later! 14.01.2022 Upon reopening of Area when all of this is over and done, there will be a slight change to venue rules and restrictions. Active immediately, anyone ejected from the venue will have the opportunity to compete in a gulag style death match 1v1 outside of Subway with another patron who has also been ejected. The winner of said death match will then be granted re-entry to the club. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

03.01.2022 Picture this: The clubs have reopened, the dancefloor is full and your favorite DJ is playing. The DJ looks up from the decks with a grin as you hear the build to the first banger of the night, as that first drop nears you look to the person next to you and give each other a nod... The song drops and the whole room goes up in unison in an almighty "WOO" that shakes the walls and echoes through the whole venue. Welcome home.

02.01.2022 IMPORTANT We have some good news, Area will be open this Friday! ... CHANGES In conjunction with recent restrictions placed on indoor venues, we will operating both levels of our venue on a strict capacity. We will do our best to accommodate as many people as we can. We will be taking extra measures to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff, including the use of santizer at the door and ready access to it throughout the venue. This is a stressful time in society, which is why its important to remember to still have fun and live your life as normal as you can, but please if youre unwell, stay home and look after yourself, we promise well be here when you get better!
